You have probably seen the extraordinary vision out of Beirut this morning. One Australian is among seventy-eight people killed by two huge explosions at a facility that was storing ammonium nitrate. We, of course, have ammonium nitrate here in Queensland, so how is it stored and should we be concerned? Currently, Belgium has almost forty three thousand (43,000) active cases of coronavirus, with a 64% recovery rate and 36% of cases ending in fatality since the first case on February 15th this year.
