Our friend John-Michael joins us again for episode 37.  While Perrin and Egwene have a moment to consider an offer from Child Byar and contemplate their mortality, Lan and Nynaeve have already stolen their way into the Whitecloak's camp to break them free.  Nynaeve rescues Bela and shoots first, signaling Moiraine to create the larger distraction.  Lan demonstrates how Whitecloaks fair in a fight against warder.  Without even drawing his sword he frees the Emond's Fielders, and they make their way back to Moiraine. We discuss the wolf brother Talent a bit more, what Lan know's about it, and his relationship with Elias.  We touch more on Ta'veren, the Pattern, and the Lace of Ages. Thanks for downloading. In this two-chapter episode, Rand suffers the symptoms of channeling sickness. This is why the timeline at this point in the book is totally out of whack - it's all viewed from Rand's perspective.  Don't worry! We'll lay out the sequence of events in order.  Rand watches Gode burned alive in a dream. The boys hitch rides on wagons, until they run into Paitr, the second Darkfriend on the trip. during a confrontatipon, Rand punches Paitr in the face, and the boys run on to the next town where Rand becomes so sick he passes out. As he recovers in a barn, Mili Skane, an assassin greets them.  Mat stops Mili from murdering Rand, and nearly kills her process. They lock her in the barn, and run. Rand has another, very confusing, dreamshard experience, and we offer a few theories on what might be happening. How do you picture the characters?  The boys slip out the back of the warded shelter without permission to explore the empty city. As night approaches, they encounter Mordeth. Our Party flees from Bearlon, pursued by fists of Trollocs led by multiple Fades. Lan beheads a Myrddraal, while Moiraine uses her staff to fight. We discuss how channeling can depend on physical movements. We also get into the bond between the Fades and the Trollocs. Moiraine uses the last of her strength to delay and misdirect the Shadowspawn. What's the deal with Myrddraal horses? Nyneave travels unbelievably fast to catch our party.  We talk about whether she would had to have channeled to do it. She was certainly angry enough. We see Nyneave coldly confront Moiraine, but they have a chat behind closed doors, and Nyneave seems to accept her fate. What did Moiraine say? A myrddraal finds Rand in the inn, and the party flees into the night.  Why didn't it kill him? Let's drink about it. Bornhald confronts the group at the gates of Baerlon, and Moiraine puts on a bit of show to scare them off.  But as soon as our party is free of the children, they discover five fists of trollocs are closely pursuing them.  Run Bela!
