Allan Schoenborn, who killed all three of his children, Kaitlyn 10, Max 8 and Corden 5 years of age 16 years ago, was declared 'not criminally responsible' because of mental illness and has been held the last 14 years at the Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Schoenborn's first hearing before the'annual' review board in two years this week descended into chaos, including seeing his lawyer walking out of proceedings. Schoenborn has also changed his name and wants a publication ban on his new name placed into effect. A man set himself on fire at a protest outside the Manhattan courthouse where former U.S. president Trump is to stand trial. The man, Maxwell Azzarello has died in hospital. This past week the Liberal government which recently declared it would cut $1-billion from military spending released its long overdue defence policy named Our North, Strong and Free: A Renewed Vision for Canada's Defence.  The new policy is exploring spending many $-billions spread out over years in order to provide the CAF with equipment ranging from submarines, helicopters, ships, missile systems, modern artillery and long range air and sea-launched missiles. - More CAF members will be recruited (we're approximately 16K short at present) in order to create a credible fighting and defence force.   Canada's annual defence spending is required to be 2% of GDP under NATO agreement. The new spending will still not reach that 2% of GDP requirement/commitment and our NATO allies are not pleased.
