Honouring us with their presence during the episode are both Tom Pigott from Uncle Hops and Anton Szpitalak, co-owner of Stockade Brew Co. • S1 E9: BHB - A Beautiful Looking Paperweight

    18/06/2017 Duration: 01h34min

Join us for a very different episode to our usual format, where we take a deep dive into this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) – if you aren’t into your video games this might not be the episode for you, but we promise you it’s filled with our usual antics and poorly thought-out opinions! Working our way through the press conferences for Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Bethesda, Ubisoft and Sony, we discuss the importance of a storyline over graphics, give our thoughts on some forty-odd announced titles, Microsoft’s latest beast of a console (yawn), our opinions on engaging better with the people behind the video games we love so much, and why dental hygiene is important if you’re going to appear on a stage in front of millions of people. Oh, and we drank some craft beer too!   Beers reviewed this episode: 1) Batch Brewing Co. – Rye IPA – IPA – 6.4% 2) Sailors Grave Brewing – Autumn Farmhouse Ale – Saison – 5.9% 3) Frenchies Brewing – Comet Pale Ale – American Pale Ale – 5.4% 4) Mornington Peninsula

  • S1 E8: BHB - Flailing Lightsabers!

    04/06/2017 Duration: 01h32min

For this episode, we’re joined by a very special guest host, Al. Dan kicks things off by giving us all candy, but he must have mixed things up because we all pass out and wake up in a dark tower owned by Ryan Gosling. Luckily we escape in a stolen van, but find the freeway littered with dozens of trailers blocking our path. Pursued by both aliens and mutants, we’re rescued by Deadpool in a cab driven by his friend, Dopinder. Arriving back at Bounty HQ, Chris finds a lightsaber and promptly puts a hole in yet another wall before Dan declares the honeymoon over and Chris is assaulted by an angry lady. Amongst all of these crazy antics, we discuss our thoughts on GABS 2017 and the differences in beer culture between Sydney and Melbourne, and generally make fools of ourselves like we do in most episodes. A huge thanks to Alistair for donating to the Bounty Hunter Brewing GoFundMe campaign, and for joining us as our guest host for the episode. We all had a great time and we’re looking forward to having him back on

  • S1 E7: BHB - Sneaky sneaky, stabby stabby

    21/05/2017 Duration: 01h19min

We start our adventure on a planet filled with deadly green crystals, moving on to purple lightsabres and then travel through time in a DeLorean to run a blade through the holographic adult entertainment industry. The results fill us with dread, but thankfully we are saved by a range of strong female role models and get all political about it! We travel back in time, this time in a blue box, to visit a classic detective story before raiding a tomb. Quite exhausted from our adventure, we watch dawn rise on the horizon and talk about our original sins. We finish our episode with a well deserved congratulations to the Bounty Hunter Brewing team for their Golden Lightsabre win – a belated May the Fourth be with you, always!   For those who want to check out the emotional monologue we discuss in the show, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoVLhUxhdSw.   Beers reviewed this episode: 1) Bucket Boys Craft Beer Co – This Is Rice Country – Japanese Rice Lager – 5.4% 2) Nomad Brewing Co – Freshie Orange

  • S1 E6: BHB - More meat, no pickle

    07/05/2017 Duration: 01h22min

In a packed episode, we kick off with a light serving of spoiler-free banter about guarding the galaxy, ultimately mastering the universe before taking a very long ride through a very dark cave filled with bats. The scenery changes, but even at full throttle it takes us quite a while to get out and into the dawn, only to discover we’ve accidentally entered a battlefront and quickly find ourselves prey to a hostile takeover. Luckily we were able to take a leap of faith and land in a soft bed of grass just before the season for such things passed. We finish up with a solid education on our favourite fermented beverage, and a story from Chris about the little Royale who could.   Beers reviewed this episode: 1) Kaiju! Beer – Kaiju! Krush – Tropical Pale Ale – 4.7% 2) Arrogant Brewing (brewed at Stone Brewing) – Arrogant Bastard Ale – American Strong Ale – 7.2% 3) Nomad Brewing Co – Without a Paddle – Kriek – 5.7% 4) Deschutes Brewery – Black Butte – Porter – 5.2%   For more info on your hosts and the po

  • S1 E5.5: BHB - Segway to a Blind Man

    23/04/2017 Duration: 39min

In a continuation of our live streaming event at the historic Pumphouse Sydney, Chris and Pete start with their final opinion on Legion and how fantastic Chris Claremont is, and then launch straight into updates on our ongoing challenges – Dan spends a long time talking about Supergirl (again), almost sounding like he’s enjoying the show albeit with a constant finger on the fast-forward button; and Chris details why several hours of tutorial gameplay in Witcher 3 isn’t quite what he wanted out of a videogame. To close out this epic double-episode, and to the constant taunts of our Facebook Live listeners, Chris strongly defends his opinion that both G.I. Joe and the new Power Rangers movies were cinematic masterpieces!   Beers reviewed this episode: 4) Mountain Goat Beer – Attack of the Killer Hops – IPA – 7.7% 5) 4 Pines Brewing – Keller Door Cherry Coconut Brown – Brown Ale – 5.5%   For more info on your hosts and the podcast, please visit us at www.bhbanter.com. We break Mjölnir and receive a death-note from Thor before forgetting the name to a very important spaceship and entering the psyche of a madman. The ever-awesome Phil from the Pumphouse joins us as our guest speaker where we ponder the future of the Jedi Order before picking his brain on all things bar-management related. Finally, Dan brings up his new favourite TV show before we head off to a much-needed break. • S1 E4: BHB - Friendly Neighbourhood What's-his-name?

    09/04/2017 Duration: 01h11min

Donning a leotard, cape and skirt, Dan flies into this episode with his initial thoughts on Supergirl, then solves a crime, kills a bad guy and throws away some content. We go back to 1999, enter the Matrix and leave Iron Fist inside it, come home to find spiders everywhere and conclude that maybe colour-blind people shouldn’t read comics and then make movies or TV shows. Chris floats his idea for Disney’s next big investment, we take a much needed breath of wild air and determine that low movie ratings probably aren’t the best platform to build a TV series on. Finally, Chris’ potty mouth leaves Pete feeling isolated while Chris goes on to drop a gold nugget, closing us out with bats fighting turtles – it’s a nutty episode indeed! Beers reviewed this episode: 1) La Sirène Brewing – Urban Pale – Saison – 5.2% 2) Doctors Orders Brewing – Fleshwound – Imperial Irish Red Steinbier – 7% 3) Kaiju! • S1 E3: BHB - Iron Fisted

    26/03/2017 Duration: 01h12min

We kick off this episode with a bang, with Chris and Pete getting their Iron Fist on, we complain about how grainy Netflix 4k is, and have a crisis that seems to last forever. We also turn the lights off on the latest Justice League animated movie and read parts of the script backwards, Pete reveals The Division's year 2 plan (hint: ), and Chris forgets the name to his own beer, but makes up for it by challenging Dan to watch the whole first season of Supergirl. Dan tries to come back by challenging Pete to a game he's always wanted to play, and we close with a deep dive into Logan (after many, many spoiler warnings in the lead up), though Chris finds he only needs 16 seconds to get the Platinum trophy for ruining a movie. Beers reviewed this episode: 1) Oskar Blues Brewery - Priscilla - Wheat Ale - 5.2% 2) Liberty Brewing - Knife Party - IPA - 7.1% 3) BrewDog - Chili Hammer - IPA - 7.2% 4) Epic Brewing Co - 10/1000 Celebration Ale - Barley Wine - 10.1%   For more info on your hosts and the podcast,
