On this week’s episode we bring a live session by a super guest, Berlin based producer and label owner YAPACC (Perlon, Pfand, Lucidflow, Brise, Apparel). Born in Frankfurt and now based in Berlin, YAPACC sways the electronic music scene and dancefloors with his live sound since the early 90s. His interest in music aroused by his experience with analogue electronics at a very young age. He wrote and released his first maelstrom recordings EP in 1997 under the techno duo pseudonym «Electrasmus». This was followed by a track at the Frankfurt's art label Poet Club Recording for the compilation «Inside 2» alongside Brian Eno, Shantel and Apex. Henceforth emerged more than 250 releases by over 80 labels such as Neuton, Perlon, Wir/Treibstoff, Brise and Lucidflow, and remixes for Ricardo Villalobos, Italoboyz, Pascal Feos, 2raumwohnung and many more. Since 2003 YAPACC has also been a member of the project «Narcotic Syntax» with James Dean Brown, which certainly has been an important part of the Perlon history. I

This week episode at Microtechno Podcast is a live session from Romania's Cristian Lazar, since his very childhood Cristian felt a special attraction to sound, later at an older age this attraction turned into an affinity for the sounds of techno and house. He has studied the different perspectives of music in order to develop a personal style and technique and he feels its his momentum to look over the fence for more challenges and experience. This week our guest session comes from the U.S. with San Diego based Marcel, he is a young producer and DJ who explores the deep, dark, and minimal sides of house music. He is influenced by music that expresses simplicity and creativity. Marcel mixes his sets in a story telling fashion, and likes to blend tracks together. On this episode we feature a exclusive session from Czech Republic’s Jag Kiranmay (@jagkiranmay). He has been playing in major events since 2001 and contributing with finely crafted releases through the London based imprint Seva Records. Sonically speaking, he is hard to pin down. The influences of Jag’s diverse career can be easily heard throughout his releases on the In-House label. Jumping from genres such as funky, vocal and tech-house to ambient and chill out, each track highlights his ability to adapt to different areas. Certainly he is a fan of contrasting styles, Jag claims that he avoids ‘classifying’ music – as he likes to sum it up concisely, “what’s good is good”. Athea may be a new beginning for James Dutton, but his dance music roots run deep. Half man, half motherboard since he learned to weave a wire as a bairn, Athea speaks the language of technology and bends it to his musical whim. On this first episode of 2016 we are proud to present the Budapest-based Hungarian producer/double bassist Dovim (Traum Schallplatten / MBF), he has been in a very strong connection with music since he was seven years old, after many years of cello studies, he started focusing on different instruments (guitar, bass and keyboards) and electronic music, as a classical musician he graduated from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and since 2010 has been playing around the world with major Hungarian Orchestras. A growing claim to produce his own music led him to start to experiment with synthesis, sampling and composing. In October 2015, his EP “Scolopendra” came out on Traum’s sublabel My Best Friend (MBF). Later in December 2015 his track “Mare Frigoris” was featured on the widely-known compilation Tour de Traum XI on the Traum label. Today, Camilo is one of the hosts in the only Electronic Music Radioshow on Chile’s FM Airwaves (Back2Back) along with his partner Nicolas Allendes. When it comes to performing, Camilo hasn’t just showed up this week, across the years he has share decks with Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Daniel Bell, Cabana, Mike Shannon and many others. In January 2016 Camilo will be performing at Festival Quinto Sol along with Atom TM, Argenis Brito and Luciano.. later in february he has appointments to play with Apollonia and Daze Maxim and later in the year he’ll be on a US Tour (NYC, Detroit, Chicago and Miami).
