  • 1000th Post - Celebration Podcast

    24/07/2016 Duration: 01h36min

Another milestone has been reached for Kneel Before Blog. The website is now on 1000 posts and I'm absolutely delighted by the progress that has been made to get us here. Kneel Before Blog is something that I started on my own but over the years I have recruited other people to help me by supplying other content. The website wouldn't be at this stage without that help so a lot of credit should be given to Aaron, Angus, Natalie, Gwen, Jordan, Simon, Urfa and Graeme for taking time out of their lives to provide their own takes on media that they have consumed. For the 1000th post I really wanted to celebrate the team rather than myself because it's 1000 posts of collective content rather than just me so Gwen suggested the idea of doing a podcast where people can listen and "meet the team" so to speak. I thought it was a great idea and decided to try to make it happen. As you might expect not everyone could make it but Aaron, Gwen, Natalie and Angus managed to make themselves available for a live discussion a

  • Star Trek Into Darkness

    17/07/2016 Duration: 01h46min

After our discussion of Star Trek (2009) it only made sense to talk about Star Trek Into Darkness. Natalie, Angus, Sandy and myself (Craig) got back together to discuss the divisive sequel and come to some form of consensus on what works and doesn't work about it. This is the second podcast so all feedback is welcomed and we already know that the overall length has to be trimmed down into something more manageable but that is a work in progress. Stay with us and watch us improve. Show Notes There isn't all that much in terms of extra media that you should look out but I did mention that the Honest Trailer for this film was worth watching. You can find this here. As before, if you enjoyed what you heard here then you can subscribe on all major podcast outlets such as iTunes and Stitcher as well as find us on all major podcast apps such as Podcast and Radio Addict on Soundcloud. Or you can just listen here. Whatever you decide to do, feel free to offer some feedback. We're a new podcast and value all in

  • Star Trek (2009)

    17/07/2016 Duration: 02h06min

Kneel Before Blog is branching out into the Podcast world and what better way to begin than talking about the J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies. On the panel for this particular discussion were me (Craig), Angus, Natalie and Sandy who all had differing opinions on this entry into the Star Trek franchise. The discussion went on longer than expected and there are a couple of audio problems but I would say it's a solid first attempt. Show Notes There were a few things brought up that you might be interested in looking up. I've linked them below: Captain Kirk is climbing the mountain The Picard Song Frozen Parody Shatner saying sabotage The final visual for audiences to consider is the image of Kirk playing his dead brother Sam from the Original Series episode "Operation -- Annihilate" They're practically twins Happy listening and all feedback is welcomed.

  • Jet Trash Press Junket

    29/06/2016 Duration: 31min

I had the opportunity to interview several people involved with the film Jet Trash. In attendance were actors Osy Ikhile and Robert Sheehan as well as director Charlie Belleville and producer Andy Brunskill. Each of them were kind enough to give me their time and talk openly about the film. There are plenty of good anecdotes about drugged cows and other general silliness that went on in the making of the film. Jet Trash had its world premier in Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh International Film Festival which was a real treat for director Charlie Belleville as he got to bring his work home and show it in his home city. There isn't much else to say beyond what it said in the various interviews so I hope you enjoy. My interview with Osy comes first followed by the Charlie and Andy coming in at 07:10 and Robert Sheehan closes it off starting at 21:55. They all had plenty to say so I was more than happy to talk to them.

  • Round table with Clancy Brown

    29/06/2016 Duration: 20min

Recently I had the opportunity to catch up with Clancy Brown in a round table scenario. He was attending the 70th Edinburgh International Film Festival to promote the 4K restoration of Highlander. He did a Q&A at the screening, attended a Ceilidh and generally enjoyed being back in Scotland after being away for so long. Joining me on the round table were Matthew from SciFiNow, Dave from Hop and Pop (hasn't launched yet), Michael from Screenkicker, George from an outlet I can't make out from the audio and Claudia from Film News UK and MovieStar Magazine. Everyone had an opportunity to speak and Clancy was more than happy to answer any questions. I'm ashamed to say that I couldn't think of the actress who played the animated version of Lois Lane despite how formative I found that animated show. It was, of course, Dana Delaney. How could I forget that? In fairness, Clancy did too. The 4K restoration of Highlander looks stunning and can be seen a few more times throughout Scotland over the next couple of m

  • Round table interview with Kevin Smith and Harley Quinn Smith

    27/06/2016 Duration: 50min

Recently I had the opportunity to join in a round table with Kevin Smith and his daughter Harley Quinn Smith. I was fortunate enough to be one of the few who managed to get a question in. In the round table Kevin's career as well as his current film Yoga Hosers was discussed among many other things. Joining me in the experience were Adam Mulgrew of seensome.com, Kat Morley of catmorley.com/cutoutandkeep.net, Michael Boyd of Screenkicker, Louise Saul of The Big Glasgow Comic Page, Awais Irfan of oasisawais.com, Michael Spangenberg of nochnfilm.de and a few others that I didn't note down. It was a great round table and I'm glad that the audio could be salvaged for you to hear because it's worth listening to. A few of us had the pleasure of an informal chat with Kevin after the event that was such a great experience. Kick back, have a listen and enjoy the endless chatter.

  • Interview with John Semper Jr.

    09/06/2016 Duration: 01h38min

Recently I managed to make my inner child very happy by scoring an interview with the man behind the 90s animated series simply called Spider-Man. As I pointed out repeatedly in my article celebrating my top 12 episodes of the show I was -and still am- a huge fan of this series so having the opportunity to pick the brain of the man who brought this to life was a great experience for me. John is in the midst of an Indiegogo Campaign to fund a new project of his named War of the Rocketmen, we talk about it during the interview and I would urge you to donate to make this possible. There are only a few days left at time of writing so if you hurry then we can see this thing get made. Donations earn you lots of great perks, not least of which is the lost episode of Spider-Man where fans can finally learn if Peter managed to reunite with Mary Jane. A teaser for this has been embedded below featuring the voices of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man himself (Christopher Daniel Barnes and his lady love Mary Jane (Saratoga B
