After attending the Foo Fighters concert, these guys were a great example of passion and when you completely in love with what you do. In other words, the passion for their work was incredible.

With the restart of Project Life with Mike Watts, here are some updates on what has been happening and the current direction this podcast is heading.

On this episode of Project Life, I interview my buddy Bradley Will. We discuss running a business and deciding to take a different path from the usual hustle and grind.

The end to Season 1 of Project Life with Mike Watts has come.  The time to take a break has arrived and Mike needs sometime off to revamp the podcast and come back better than ever.  Thank you so much for being here for Season 1 and look forward to see you in Season 2. 

This week we have been preparing for a super fun week that is bringing our team to town for the rest of year planning.  I started my business in 2009 and this is the first time we are having a team retreat where we are flying our team into Maine to mastermind planning on the direction to take the company. 

It was the first time in 153 days, I missed the podcast episode and yesterday was the day that happened.  It was a day filled with activities and the time has come when it slipped my mind.  It is all about how we handle the mistake and overcome it.  Which I am doing and taking it far more seriously so here we go.

Today we decided to cancel all of the plans and go to the beach.  Life is short, take a break.

Today Mike Watts shares the story of the Crossfit games and how to excel at your craft through belief.

When you are running a business, much of your time will be spent putting out fires with customers, team members, yourself, and suppliers.  Much of business is how to properly handle those fires and make sure to keep the show running. 

Yesterday we went blueberry picking and I realized the importance of eating seasonally instead of what is available 24/7 at the grocery store. 

When we experience the flow state, nothing can stop you. I experience this state periodically and get super pumped when I get in it because I feel like nothing can stop me from striving to become better and take over the world.

Today that moving truck has arrived and it will be the last time that happens in a very long time. I have moved 21 times in 16 years and it feels good to be at a place that will be our home for the future of raising our family and a place for Penelope to call home.

Today we closed on the house and it was a fantastic end to this crazy week of preparing to move into our new house. Building a house is a huge task and I am grateful to have gone through the process but glad it is coming to an end. It is a place that I can see myself living in for a long time.

Today was another great example of expectation vs. reality. The ongoing journey of the living room light and how it showed up at my house today. Thank you to the amazing crew at Hurlbutt Designs that called the trucking company and had them get the light off of the truck. They went and picked it up and delivered it to our house. Talk about customer service. We are so close but not quite there yet.
