John, Raheel, and Del kick off the hour discussing how college football teams have evolved around the country and the impact of “superstar classes”. The guys give a pre-season look into the upcoming University of Houston football schedule and break down the top ten NBA 2k ratings for this year. Today’s John vs. Genius segment features the song “Juicy” by The Notorious B.I.G. The guys wrap up the hour with news of the weird. 

John, Raheel, and Lance kick off the hour debating which pitchers they would like to see in the Astros’ starting rotation and bullpen. The guys criticize the pitching decisions made by the Astros last night and talk about the reputation of Tyler White. They discuss Oklahoma’s ability to develop quarterbacks, how this college football season may turn out for Jalen Hurts, and make some predictions for the start of Texas’ season. The men wrap up the hour with news from around the NBA. 

John and Raheel start off hour two talking about the invasion of Area 51 and relating Kawhi Leonard’s life to Thanos’. Del asks “Can we look at a rockets regular season and just appreciate it without the overbearing question of does it matter if they don’t win a title?”, both John and Raheel say they can appreciate it, however, they won’t celebrate it unless they do win a title. The guys share what they think should be done in upcoming movies. They get into yesterday’s tennis match arguing that it was the greatest tennis match of all time, then branch out and get into cricket. John and Raheel close out the show talking about a thief who was just released after being caught for theft over 600 times.  

John and Raheel kick off the show talking about how Raheel simply can’t pull off the same trends as celebrities, they then transfer into Carlos Correa and James Harden’s work ethics in their free time, and what players are 99 overalls in new Madden football video game. They talk about racial profiling incidents in the sports world. They then talk about what they think the biggest Big 12 headlines are coming into the media now, pick the order of finish in the Big 12, and overall NCAA football. They close out the hour talking about Rockets season and why Russell was drawn to Houston.

The guys start the 2nd hour continuing on about the trade the Rockets made for Russell Westbrook and how it will work and they discuss the other Western Conference teams. They then discuss the story of Kevin Durant not wanting to be traded to Brooklyn straight up for D’Angelo Russell. After the guys discuss Mike Vrabel on a podcast saying he’d cut his “Unit” off to win a Superbowl. After they go in and discuss who should’ve won best female athlete ESPY Megan Rapinoe or Alex Morgan. They discuss the more possible trade rumors in the NBA involving Chris Paul and Andre Iguodala. The guys finish the show discussing which trade they would like more and New of the weird. 

John Raheel Lance and Dale open the show discussing the Houston Rockets move for Oklahoma City Thunder PG Russell Westbrook and breakdown how he fits in with the team. They then take a dive in at the Astros and the problems with starting pitching and finding that 5th starter and talk Jake Marisnick. They then talk about how they will call their listeners Gloryboys because all the other shows have names for their listeners. They rank the Western and Eastern Conference teams after the Rockets trade for Russell Westbrook. Rob Friedman joins the show to talk baseball and Justin Verlander’s comments on a juiced ball. 

The guys start the hour by going over some differences between College Football and the NFL. John and Raheel then go over their favorite annoying song. Next, it is time for Throw Shade Thursday. 

The guys start off the show by going over some non-sports topics. Next, the guys talk about the home runs given up by Justin Verlander. They also go over a variety of topics in Major League Baseball. John and Raheel end the hour by diving into some topics in the NBA.

The guys start the second hour talking about blue ice cream getting sealed and higher priced after the controversy. They get into talking about the MLB All-Star game from yesterday and about paying the Women’s Soccer team. The start talking about the NFL teams like the New Orleans Saints, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Houston Texans. The guys get into talking about different shows/movies on TV and Netflix that they recently watched. They talk about Kanye West’s “Yeezy’s” shoe line and how much it’s worth. The guys end the show with some more small talk of different interesting topics.     

The guys start off the show getting back into the conversations that “The Bench” previous had about Bill O’Brien, the Texans GMs and Jadeveon Clowney. They get into the conversation about the National Women’s Soccer team and their parade. They get into some small talk about the weather, metal/paper straws, and people vandalizing food in the grocery store. They talk about the most under rated and most questionable move so far this off season. The get into who could go to the Thunder, Russell Westbrook numbers the past few years and jump into talking about what James Harden could improve on. The guys end the hour talking about the Champions of Parade again and more.

Raheel begins the second hour of the show telling a road trip story about himself and his sister. Next up, the guys talk the home plate collision between Jake Marisnick and Jonathan Lucroy. John raps Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “Nuthin But A G Thang” in John versus Genius. The group wraps up the hour with News of the Weird.

Raheel joins John, Lance and Del and the group kicks off the hour discussing extending nets and MLB ballparks to reduce fan injuries. Next up, the group discusses the Korean Baseball League’s bunting competition and a very interesting Japanese twitter account. The guys talk tonight’s MLB All-Star Game and the Carlos Correa injury. Next, they cover the Astros searching for another starting pitcher.

The guys talk MLB all-star game and home run derby. Plus, is Russell Westbrook going to the Rockets? Also, Malpractice Monday and News of the Weird. 

The guys talk Kawhi and Paul George to the Clippers, the recent ice cream licking epidemic, Marisnick and Lucroy collision at home plate, 20-year-old Matthew Wolff winning the 3M Classic, and live action Disney movies (The Little Mermaid, Mulan). 

John, Raheel, and Del kick off the first hour deciding the importance of an international title for Messi’s career. They discuss which teams have the potential of making the playoffs next year and John shares a weird story about fetishes. The guys are off Thursday and Friday, so they combine weekly apologies, throw shade Thursday, and get your joke off Friday into one segment. The hour ends with news of the weird. 

John, Raheel, Lance, and Del kick off the first hour teasing interns before discussing which Astros player they’d most like to have with runners in scoring position. The guys question the morality of fishing and learn a little about unequal pay in women’s soccer. Raheel gives an insightful monologue about the power of wanting to be liked. The men wrap up the hour sharing the latest development in the Nike Betsy Ross shoe scandal and predict which NBA teams will be good enough to make it to the playoffs next season. 

The guys start the hour by discussing a man who published an article on whether or not people should be allowed to wear backpacks on an elevator because a woman bumped into him. They transition into which NFL team took the riskiest moves in the past couple years. They discuss what pitcher the Astros should trade for in exchange for Kyle Tucker. Granato raps the words to “Wow” by Post Malone and then the guys talk about the lyrics.  They end the show by talking about if the fecal matter of great athletes has different supplements in them. 

The guys kick off the second hour debating about a listener who loves to tweet mean things about Raheel and protocol for retiring jerseys. A caller encourages the guys and other listeners to be nice to Raheel before discussing the tension between the president and the USWNT. More nice comments about Raheel are followed by the men ranking the importance of NFL players around the league.
