  • 22. All Natural Skincare Entrepreneur Shares Business and Health Tips

    22/05/2017 Duration: 55min

This week Aja Yasir discusses the inception, conception, and actualization of her business, Simple Beauty Naturals. Aja dreamed of entrepreneurship as a child and even credits her youth experience as a swimmer with helping her develop a risk-taking approach to entrepreneurship. One risk in particular, selling a franchised business in Chicago and moving to Venezuela, sparked the idea to start her business of making all-natural, plant-based beauty and skincare products. Her risk paid off, as she has launched a successful business that not only seeks to show customers the value of using natural products but also creates opportunities for other people. Aja not only left me thinking that I need to drink more water, but she dropped some serious knowledge bombs so take a listen. • 21. Creating Art Within Reach + How to Grow a Side Hustle

    15/05/2017 Duration: 48min

This week’s episode is dedicated to all those who may be struggling to get started with pursuing their passion because of naysayers or those who were ever discouraged by others who didn’t believe in their pursuit. Studio 78’s guest this week, Ciara LeRoy, tells her story of about how she overcame familial expectations and academic discouragement to walk in her truth and pursue her lifelong passion of “creating beautiful things and telling stories.” Ciara’s inherited an appreciation for art that steered her away from a pre-med academic track to an unlikely journey to fulfill her desire to inject the world with beauty. After a few minor setbacks, Ciara began slowly introducing the world to her one-of-kind artwork, and after gaining traction, she launched her website PrettyStrange.Designs, to debut her custom creations. Ciara’s story can serve as inspiration and testament that being true to yourself “outweighs the perceived” benefits of playing it safe. Pretty Strange Design (Ciara Leroy) Web: prettystrange.des
