SJS Hour 2 - Steve talks about the length of the end of basketball games. Lane Kiffin is on the Alabama campus recruiting players out of the transfer portal and Steve tells a story about Illinois recruiting PSU players after the sanctions. Then NCAA decision making. Steve says "The NCAA has a lack of consistency in their eligibility cases."

SJS Hour 1 - Steve tells us the players left in the NFL playoffs that have Penn State ties and the Sanders brothers missing a Colorado team meeting to walk a Paris runway. State College.com's Ben Jones then talks about what Penn State spends on intercollegiate athletics, "If you want to win on the major college level, it isn't cheap."

SJS Hour 2 - -1-17-2024 - Steve plays some highlights from Penn State's win over Wisconsin and discusses Penn State's athletic budget. Steve says, "If Penn State wrestling can't make a profit by selling out all of its matches, it proves how hard it is to make money in college athletics besides football and men's basketball."

SJS Hour 2 - 01-17-2024 - Steve talks about Penn State's upset of No. 11 Wisconsin. Then Steve spends some time on the Eagles issues after Monday's game. Steve says that "Jalen Hurts has trouble navigating pressure. When did he have to face pressure at Alabama, Oklahoma or last year with the Eagles."

Neal Coolong 01-16-2024 - Neal says that "People think that Mike Tomlin is on the hot seat with the Pittsburgh Steelers, maybe the Pittsburgh Steelers on are on the hot seat with Mike Tomlin."

SJS Hour 2- Neal Coolong discusses the Steelers and what could be an eventful offseason. Then Steve discusses what's going on with former Maryland QB Tagovailoa and resting in the NBA.

SJS Hour 1 01-16-2024 - Steve talks the Eagles playoff loss, then Matt Catrillo gives his thoughts. Then we talk about more about the Eagles, and is it all Sirianni's fault. Steve says that Howie Roseman bares some blame and says that "You always get enamored of talent, but character has to play a part."

SJS 01-15-2024-HR 2 - Steve tells a story about travelling in a blizzard in 2011, and travelling to Iowa on the day of the Iowa caucus eight years ago. Steve also talks about AFCA meeting last week, and how football coaches are at a loss on what the NCAA is doing with NIL and the transfer portal.

SJS Hour 1- 01-15-2024 - Steve discusses this weekend's NFL playoffs and the noise surrounding C.J. Stroud before the 2023 NFL draft. Steve says that "The talk after the scouting combine was test scores, but watch film, watch Stroud play against the 2022 Penn State defense and tell me he can't process against an elite defense." Then Steve talks about Martin Luther King, Jr. and learning from the Penn State football players when they visited historical sites during Peach Bowl.

Nate Bauer of On3.com joins the show to discuss Stacey Collins leaving the Penn State coaching staff, the transfer portal players and then they discuss the Penn State men's basketball team.

SJS Show Hour 2-01-12-2024 - Steve discusses collectives and then the statement by the NCAA that Michigan won the National Title 'fair and square'. Steve says that "It was a statement that was tone deaf." Then the King joins the show to discuss the Patriots and the Steve, Todd and the King make their playoff picks for this weekend.

SJS-Hour 1 01-11-2024 - Steve can finally discuss the transfer portal. He enjoys how PSU does it Steve says about the Nittany Lions portal gets, "You never know when quality is going to pick you." Nate Bauer then joins the show to discus PSU special teams coordinator Stacey Collins leaving and the men's basketball team.

SJS Hour 2 - 01/11/2024 - Steve talks about what's next for Alabama and New England. Reasons for why Saban might have stepped down. Building college programs and how the calendar is better for NFL and college basketball coaches, then for NCAA football coaches.

SJS Hour 1 - Steve and Todd discuss the coaching news of the day. Steve says that, "You have to have perspective. Nick Saban is the greatest coach of the playoff era. But every era has a greatest coach, and different eras each have their own difficulties." Then we discuss how conferences will schedule with the expanded teams in both football and basketball.

NBC's Peter King joins the show to talk about breaking news in the Seahawks firing Pete Carroll and the Patriots coaching situation. He also talks about NBC streaming the Chiefs-Dolphins. King says that "Roger Goddell thinks streaming is the future for the NFL. He's convinced in the next media rights deal that streaming will be a major part of it."

Bill Hillgrove, the Pittsburgh play by play guy, joins the show. Hillgrove says that, "T.J. Watt is a big a loss, but with the depth Pittsburgh has developed, I think they are better prepared to deal with his injury this year, but we also all know the Steelers' record without Watt."

SJS Hour 2 - Steve and Todd discuss the Eagles problems and do they have a chance in Tampa Bay, Steve has some thoughts on the Pat McAfee situation with ESPN. Then Peter King discusses the breaking news about the Seahawks firing Pete Carroll and thoughts on the upcoming NFL playoffs.

SJS HR 1 - Steve and Todd discuss Saturday night's weather for Dolphins-Chiefs, and the fact it's on NBC Peacock. Steelers play-by-by guy Bill Hillgrove joins us to talk about the playoff game with the Bills. Hillgrove says that "He agrees with Mike Tomlin that you have to run the ball in the December and January because of conditions, and I think that's one of the biggest reasons for the Steelers success in the late season."

Neal joins the show and talks about the changes in Pittsburgh quarterback Mason Rudolph in this late-season run. Neal says "Mason seems to have calmed himself down in the pocket." Then Neal talks about the Steelers chances in their playoff game against Buffalo.  

SJS Hour 2 - Neal Coolong talks the difference this year in Mason Rudolph and the Steelers chances against the Bills. Then, Why is the Chiefs-Dolphins on Peacock this weekend?
