Friday 8/14/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Where we go from a tough week in college football, Steve says MLB is not a mess, plus more on microcarditis, and why COVID is not the only virus that can cause it. Guest: Sam Carchidi, Philadelphia Inquirer, with a look at what has led to the Canadiens’ success, if the Flyers can make a deep run, Carter Hart’s success, and what Alain Vigneault’s coaching style means to the team.

Hour 2 – Guests: Tony Knopp, Ticket Manager, on the financial repercussions of the COVID-19 impact on sports, how there’s still some unique opportunities for media even though TV money can’t be recovered, PAC-12 players union issues, NBA ratings bad, and how big labor strikes are coming in NBA and NFL ; Richard Scarcella, Reading Eagle who has a major disappointment with the Big 10 decision, but understood it, he’s not sure a spring season is possible, and what could happen with a PIAA fall sports decision.

Thursday 8/13/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Some good news from the Purdy Memorial Golf Tournament. Guest: Dave Hunziker, Oklahoma State football radio Play-By-Play, he says he thought the Big 12 was done at first, but understands all decision making. He also likes the Big 12 bye weeks, and he explains his broadcast situation this year.

Hour 2 – Guests: Dave Revsine, BTN, who interviewed B1G Commissioner Kevin Warren yesterday. He says its important for all teams to be on board with the conference’s decision, and it was the right decision. He also says B1G officials were uncomfortable with contact; Neal Coolong, Steelers Wire/USAToday – he says NFL should be first in playing, and the pro sports COVID-19 issues have been from players not complying with guidelines.

Wednesday 8/12/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Steve is taken back by Ryan Day’s comments, thought B1G Commissioner Kevin Warren struggled, plus he answers questions on who may or may not play for Penn State if there is spring football. Guest: Neil Rudel, Altoona Mirror, he also questions who may or may not play for Penn State in a possible spring season, and he wonders if the Big 10 would regret the decision if other conferences play in the fall with little or no issues.

Hour 2 – Topics: PAC-12 cancels fall sports through end of the year, and Nebraska may try to play outside the Big 10 in football – can that be done? And Steve says a spring football season would need to start by mid February.

Tuesday 8/11/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Steve says it would’ve been better for the Big 10 to wait before deciding to cancel fall sports, and he’ still surprised by the decision, and has all the reaction from the Big 10, Penn State, and more. Guest: Matt Leon, KYW Newsradio Philadelphia, on the Sixers struggles and notable injuries, Carter Hart’s play, the Phillies insanely bad bullpen, and Eagles starting training camp.

Hour 2 – Guest: Mark Wogenrich, SI.com, he says Penn State has created a ‘really good bubble’ since players returned, and Pat Freiermuth even mentioned he forgot about COVID while practicing, and he questions what are presidents and commissioners seeing now to stop college football.

Monday 8/10/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Steve says the players and parents feeling comfortable with playing this year should say something.  Guest: Chris Solari, Detroit Free Press- he confirmed Dan Patrick’s report of no B1G football – he says we’ll see who’s the power broker with the decision, academia or athletics? Plus, players still fear retaliation for opting out, and 2 B1G presidents are medical doctors with infectious disease backgrounds.

Hour 2 – Guest: PIAA Executive Director Bob Lombardi joins the show following the PIAA’s decision to delay the start of fall sports by two weeks. He says the PIAA ‘doesn’t want conflict’ with the governor, instead ‘let’s put our thinking caps on’ for our young people.’ He says the PIAA is also 100% opposed to having no fans at games, and a lot more. Plus, its weekly sports trivia with ‘The King!’

Friday 8/7/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Steve says he expected today’s PIAA decision to delay the start of fall sports, Penn State football starts practice, and Steve isn’t panicking on where the sports world is on managing COVID-19. Guest: Penn State historian Lou Prato, on Penn State football playing through the Spanish Flu pandemic, politics within the locker room at that time, and much more.

Guests- Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette on the PGA Championship and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Phil Steele of ESPN talks about college football.

Topics- Penn State preseason ranking; Micah Parson’s announcement regarding 2020 season and 2021 NFL draft; Beaver Stadium guidelines during COVID-19;  Governor’s recommendation about high school sports.

Hour 2 Adam Purdy on the Purdy Memorial Golf Tournament that Steve is broadcasting from. Talked about the MLB season so far, which is about a quarter of the way done. MLB has played more games than the NHL and NBA combined. Penn State’s football schedule for this fall, and how the teams look that they are playing

Hour 1 Talked about Penn State’s Micha Parsons and other players opting out of football this fall, Penn State’s linebacker situation, and the Nittany Lions’ football schedule as it stands now.  Andrew Marchand of ESPN on on-air broadcast teams, including for Monday Night Football, and ABC wanting the Super Bowl, and his opinion of the in-studio play-by-play in games being covered right now.

Hour 2 – Guest: Brandon Gaudin, BTN, on why there’s still no B1G football schedule, how doing the Madden game has helped him prepare to possibly call games in a studio or with no fans, and his views on B1G basketball for next season. Plus, Steve Engle from Purdy Insurance previews tomorrow’s Truman H. Purdy Memorial Golf Tournament.

Tuesday 8/4/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Steve has a B1G football schedule update, and what other NFL teams are doing about fans in the stands. Guest: Jim Jackson, NBC Sports Philadelphia Flyers Broadcaster/Phillies Radio Network, with praise for Carter Hart in the Flyers goal, the team’s hot restart, and he says the MLB ‘had to’ implement the 7-inning rule.

Hour 2 – Who most baseball fans would rather see at bat, and Steve thinks PAC-12 players overstepped their boundaries on other people trying to make a living.

Monday 8/3/20 Hour 1 – Topics: We react to the PAC-12 player demands not to boycott this football season, and Steve’s perceptions on the NBA and NHL bubbles and MLB virus problems. Guest: Emily Giambalvo, The Washington Post, with her analysis of the PAC-12 players demands, worries of administrators of the power players have, players signing waivers, and more.
