Friday 9/11/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Last night‘s NFL kickoff game was a good one, but the TV ratings were down 16% – maybe because of the pregame social justice demonstrations? We assess what happened. Guest: Talor Battle, Penn State’s all-time leading scorer and new assistant coach, on his excitement to be back with the team, what he likes about returning players, and more.

Thursday 9/10/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Football is back, NCAA says no to ACC proposal on all-inclusive tourney, and when the B1G could meet again on football. Guest, Merrill Reese, the voice of the Eagles, explains what the radio broadcast will be like, we’ll see if the level of play is worse, offensive line concerns, and more.

Hour 2 –  ESPN College Football Insider Brad Edwards, on COVID testing in college football, Notre Dame playing a conference schedule, the impact of no B1G and PAC-12 football and more. Topics: More on why the ACC coaches proposed an all-inclusive NCAA hoops tourney.

Wednesday 9/9/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Steve says colleges need the money from an expanded NCAA tournament, reacting to Matt’s take against the ACC’s proposal to allow all D-I teams in for a NCAA hoops tourney this year.

Hour 2 –  Topics: Remembering Lou Brock, Peter King’s column on Al Michaels, and more on why Kevin Warren needs to speak up. Guest: Neal Coolong, Steelers Wire/USA Today, on Delvin ‘Duck’ Hodges being let go, Cam Heyward contract extension, Big Ben’s health, and more.

Tuesday 9/8/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Cutters and Spikes, MLB and MiLB affiliations running out soon, and Steve expresses frustration with COVID-19 reporting within certain sports like basketball that haven’t even formally practiced yet. Plus how the new rapid testing can help the sports world and college football, and Kevin Warren needs to be more vocal about playing or not playing this fall.

Hour 2 – Jody McDonald ‘Jody Mac’ from WIP, WFAN and CBS Sports Radio, remembering the late Mets grate Tom Seaver – his dad was the Mets GM at the time. Hour 2 – Topics: Steve says last night’s NBA playoff games were some of the worst last minutes of basketball he’s seen. Steve also reacts to the latest Penn State mycrocarditis reports, and what the report actually said.

Thursday 9/3/20 Hour 1 – Topics: Steve remembers ‘Tom Terrific’ Tom Seaver, and goes on a rant of why pitchers then didn’t have the same issues of pitchers now and why the ‘opt out trend’ will be problematic.

The tests for Covid-19, costs, how they are done, how quick the turnarounds are on tests.  Penn State basketball has a coaching opening as Kevin Freeman returns to UCONN as assistant coach.
