The Loveland Frogman! Yes, folks, strange things were definitely afoot in 1955! The same year that brought us the Kelly-Hopkinsville goblins also brought us somewhat similar series of encounters in Loveland, Ohio (right next to the Little Miami River, no less). What was the Frogman? Was he really all that froggy? Why was he seen again in 1972 and during a sweet Pokemon Go sesh in 2016? We investigate all that and more this month as we discuss the Loveland Frogman!

Podcastica's Animation Domination is off to a very strong start with EVIL OF THE DALEKS! The Season 4 finale was originally supposed to be the end of the Daleks in Doctor Who (but we all know how that actually turned out), so it's chock full of fisticuffs, sword fighting, and (by the time we get to the last couple episodes) explosions galore! Plus, we meet the Emperor Dalek! Join us as we review this animated recreation of the lost story and find ourselves another perfect 10 on the Duggan Scale!

Friends! 2022 has already given us this little gem of an episode! That's right, we loved Eve of the Daleks! Though we have one minor nitpick, we were delighted by what Team TARDIS was able to do with a small cast, an enclosed set, and the old time loop trope! We got explosions, emotions, action, and the confirmation of the Thasmin Agenda! Let's grab a little bit of the leftover champers from NYE and dig into it!

The Future! That's right, friends, we are all interested in the future because that's where you and I are going to spend the rest of our lives! That famous line by The Amazing Criswell permeates our first episode of 2022! And what does the future hold? We're not sure, but we make some predictions and share listener predictions for the new year. We also take a close look at the 1968 book Criswell Predicts: From Now to the Year 2000! to see what he got right, got wrong, and actually got pretty close on!

Our six-week long rollercoaster of a story has led us to this! The Vanquishers! Does it stick the landing? Well, we have a long discussion on expectations and how excited speculation can maybe lead to unrealistic expectations. We liked the episode, don't get us wrong, but we have to wonder if the original 8 episode season order would have served the Flux storyline better. At the end of the day, this is what we have and we always find the gems amongst the stuff we felt could have gone better! Programming Note! This is our last ep of 2021. Seb identifies three avenues that he feels people haven't explored enough in the Lazar tale and together we at least try to find a theory that covers all the aspects of Bob Lazar!

We're back! We missed you! Did you change your hair while we were on hiatus because it looks GREAT! In this episode we catch up a little, but not as much as you may expect because we had ACTUALLY done that the week before in an episode that was eaten and cannot be released. But, hey, look, we talk about our favorite fruits so everything is all good all the same!

Folks, we are barrelling toward the finale for Doctor Who Flux! Our penultimate episode, Survivors of the Flux gives us lots to chew on. We get a deep download of Division lore, a twisted history of UNIT, and our very own Indiana Jones-like adventures (complete with an amazing hermit)! We're still loving this season, but we're also really hoping it'll stick the landing next week. How can the Doctor possibly save the universe and unpack the effects of the Flux?!

Sometimes there's an advantage to recording a day later that we normally do, especially when that day is Doctor Who's 58th anniversary! We dive into Village of the Angels, but we also have lots of news that dropped in honor of Doctor Who Day! And this episode just blew us out of the water! Possibly the second greatest Weeping Angel story ever. There's also lots of us to speculate on as we enter the final third of the Flux storyline! Do we have any idea what's going on? Maybe! Possibly? Probably not! But we're having a ton of fun on the ride!

Like a solid mythology episode of The X Files, "Once, Upon Time" gives Doctor Who fans some answers, a ton of speculation, and even more questions! This season continues to fire on all cylinders and if you were confused by the disjointed time aspect of the episode and the whole "we're hiding this character from the past and just making them look like Yaz" thing, make sure to give a listen this week as we break things down, show who was who, and speculate who could have been who!

Having seemingly survived the Flux, The Doctor, Yaz, and Dan are dropped in the Crimean War where the British are battling the Sontarans! Yep, they're taking advantage of the Flux to conquer Earth across time. Meanwhile, on the Planet Time, not all is well. Time seems to be sentient and the mechanisms in place to make it behave are in need of repair! Can Team TARDIS make things right before the Swarm Squad sweep in to wreak havoc?! It wouldn't be the wild ride that Flux is turning out to be if there wasn't lots at stake!

Doctor Who is back, baby! And hoo boy do they come in swinging! There is so much happening in The Halloween Apocalypse that we think we easily could have filled a couple podcast episodes about it. We are definitely going to need a bigger flowchart (or a conspiracy board for Taylor...he has some speculation about what's going on)! Either way, join us as we look at the beginnings of this six-part puzzle Doctor Who is calling Flux!

In May of 1973, a most peculiar thing happened in Sandown on the Isle of Wight. A girl, known only to us as Fay, and a boy, whose name we never learn, met a seven foot tall creature that for all intents and purposes looked like a poorly crafted clown. He communicated in an odd syntax at times and also gave cryptic answers. Despite having an encounter approaching an hour with these two kids, Sam's never been seen again (at least not in this guise). This month, we look at the odd case of Sam the Sandown Clown, speculate on what he could have been, and even pull some insight from the Secret Ciper of the UFOnauts! Plus, you get a bonus discussion about alien nudists landing in Georgia!

Well, we could have spent most of the episode discussing news of our impending 13th season of Doctor Who (that's only two weeks away, if you hadn't noticed), but we also have a great episode to discuss this time! We continue the dinosaur trend with DINOSAURS ON A SPACESHIP. There's no sign of Samuel L. Jackson, but we do have guest visits from Mr. Weasley and Argus Filch! We enjoyed many aspects of this episode and we also chew on the subject of this darker Doctor we get as he deals with Solomon? Did he have to die? We certainly debate it out!

The Doctor and Sarah Jane return to present day London to find it basically empty, save for looters, UNIT, and dinosaurs?!!? Trying to sort out the cause of these time eddies, The Doctor & Sarah Jane also discover deep underground (former) military bases, MK Ultra-esque mind control programs, and a secret space program psyop worthy of Alternative Three! All of this bonkers conspiracy-ness is ultimately hiding a plot to turn back time as an act of returning to a less polluted time! It’s six-parts of intrigue, mystery, and environmental commentary (that comes off better than Orphan 55 did) with Invasion of the Dinosaurs! We also spend a good few minutes talking about the news of RTD's return to Doctor Who!

October is finally here and, with it, the spookiest month of the year! Join us as we discuss one of the most haunted places in America: The Queen Mary. From her life as a luxury liner to her service in World War 2, we look at the various events and mishaps that shaped her history. We talk about the hauntings aboard, when they started, and why perhaps they're there. We even share a listener's experience with a ghost aboard the Queen Mary!

This time we discuss the 5th Doctor story The Visitation! We go deep on the interpersonal dynamics on the TARDIS right now, marvel at a sparkly droid, and behold the joy that is the character of Richard Mace! The air is clean, the locals are...being controlled by a fugitive Tereleptil bent on exterminating the human race and taking over the planet using a modified version of the Black Plague. Just a regular day in jolly old England, yeah? Can The Doctor save the day without his sonic? Can Nyssa turn up the bass against a sparkly android? Can Tegan manage to get through an adventure without being possessed? And could Adric possibly whine and cry in the same story? It’s all that and more during The Visitation!

Jump around! Jump around! In time, that is! This week, John & Taylor review...well, two different versions of Day of the Daleks! So you get the added bonus of us comparing what you'll find on BritBox versus the original broadcast version (and there definitely are some differences!). Regardless, Day of the Daleks is a little bit of an underwhelming story, but we dig through the muck to find the gems and also come up with an idea of a Doctor Who racing video game! Who do we know out there in the games industry?

Imagine yourself in a dark room in the middle of the night. Your only source of light is the glow of the shortwave radio before you. Your headphones are filled with static as you slowly creep along the dial. Amongst the background hiss are chirps, warbles, the occasional faint staccato rhythm of morse code. And then you stumble across a female voice calmly, almost robotically, calling off a series of numbers and letters from the phonetic alphabet. Just as quickly as you catch it, the transmission ends and is replaced by an eerie piece of music or channel marker. Aside from the creep factor for the casual listener, Numbers Stations have for decades provided a nearly uncrackable code for both military and espionage purposes.
