And that's not the only exciting part of The Ice Warriors! It's a solid six-parter from the Troughton era that introduces these legendary foes and their very whispery tones!

August is here and, with that, our Summer of John comes to a conclusion with the return of co-host John Pingel and our topic: John Titor! From his early faxes to Art Bell in 1998 to his online postings of the early 2000s, we take a look at Titor's claims, his possible motives, his manner of travel, and potentially the reality that it was all just cooked up by a couple of Florida boys! Regardless, Titor's story came at a time where a late night radio tale could become an internet urban legend.

Well, folks, The Power of Three. Is it a reference to the strength of the Doctor plus his companions? Is it a reference to the "cubed" nature of our villains tools? Is it just something that sounded good in Chibnall's head as he wrote a rather glossed over story full of exceptional amounts of handwavium? We're not really sure and, as such, that causes this story to land rather awkwardly. Though it does have some good moments (heartwarming ones as well as the introduction of Kate Stewart), we kind of feel a bit meh about this adventure.

It's weird. We don't quite understand it either. We also discuss the trailers for TRON: ARES, Mortal Kombat II, and Hoppers! All this, plus a whole lot more nonsense!

Yes, sounds like the start of a 50s b-movie where some alien plant pod falls to Earth in the distant past only to be discovered by mankind and have it germinate and try to take over the world. It probably would have some sort of villain who hates mankind so much, he identifies more with the plants than with humans. Gosh, that also sounds exactly like our episode this week!

Ladies and Gents and everyone out there, we are back after basically a month to recover from Ncuti's last episode. And we needed something light, something entertaining and the animated recreation of The Savages fits the bill! Set as something of an allegory on anti-apartheid South Africa, The Savages lets you think one thing early on and then has you wondering who are the "real" savages. It's a very solid story and good animation and a hilarious twist that neither of us saw coming!

This month it appears we ask the question that no one else really has: what if John Frum were an actual person? Yes, we're looking at the John Frum Movement on the island of Tanna in the South Pacific. This cargo cult is legendary, but then we start to research who John Frum could have been and things get really interesting from there!

YaketyCAST is back this week with so much video games, movies, and tv news that you'll have to be carried off the pitch like our soon to be robot overloads during a soccer match! This week John gives us a review of ALAN WAKE and FBC: FIREBREAK. Ernesto tells us all about the new movie F1: Is it worth your time? After two whole weeks without a new episode, YaketyCAST is back and they're bringing the THUNDER. Or at least bringing giant bags of popcorn with Cheetos in them! This week it's MOVIE REVIEWS A PLENTY as our hosts talk about SIX movies they saw since they last spoke to you. They also discuss the Toxic Avenger and Eddington trailers, Jon Bernthal joining the Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast, and John's thoughts on the video game CONTROL! All this, and much more!

We love a good double-entendre alternate title. And that might be one of the only good things about The Reality War. Honestly, folks, we are a positive podcast. We're always looking for the things we like in even the least enjoyable story (Sleep No More...remember?). Well, this one's a struggle. We definitely have some things we liked, but we absolutely have to address where this story leaves us and leaves Doctor Who. Oh boy, oh boy friends! Here we are...the penultimate episode of the season! And nothing is as it seems! Yes, sure, there's a bit of set up for what hopefully will be an insane season finale, but that's what penultimate episodes do, right? We've a new god of the Pantheon, we have a easy money-making scheme (selling yellow mugs), we have another surprise face showing up, and we have a very intriguing final line of the episode! What could it all mean?!

FOLKS! We here at YaketyCAST pride ourselves on one thing and only thing only: Our love of the hit television show Mike & Molly. However, we could not dedicate an entire episode to just that so it's business as usual! This week Ernesto saw THREE MOVIES and has reviews for each of them for you, John spirit-bonded with a giraffe at the zoo, and both discuss the dangers of rolling around the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Blvd. They also discuss a whole bunch of movie and tv trailers, a lawsuit the Beastie Boys had with Chili's, and the most lawbreaking duck IN THE ENTIRE WORLD!

Oh boy, friends, do we have a lot to unpack! The Interstellar Song Contest has come and gone. Dugga Doo didn't win. And for that we riot!! Wait, that's not the biggest bit of news from this episode? The Story and The Engine is a fantastic story. That's it, that's the post. It's well written, it tells a story that we don't really see in Doctor Who, it's amazing to look at, and it provides representation where we really really haven't had it on this show. All of that is fantastic, so you'll hear a lot of that, a couple teeny nitpicks, and a lot of speculation on where this season's end game may be headed!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ONE AND ALL. But mainly, just the mothers.
