Synopsis

Welcome to the You've Never Seen That Podcast. The show where two dudes who thought they watched a lot of television, are proven wrong. Each week hosts Bellamy and Mike watch a random episode of a random season of a pre-determined show that they have never seen a single episode of and discuss their thoughts after. How wrong are they? Usually pretty wrong.

  • S2 Ep 6 - Sex and the City [S1 Ep 6 - Secret Sex]

    06/02/2017 Duration: 01h35min

We did it! We made it through a month of reality television, and while a very interesting and introspective look into the reality of television (see what I did there? Huh? Huh?) we are SO happy to be done with it. We've traded in our Rocks of Love and Drag cars to HBO's mid 90's smash hit: Sex and the City. Yes, Sex AND the City, not in, not around, not behind, beside, above, or below (even though, we do introduce a very interesting spin off with that one), it's Sex AND the City. Some things we realize through this though: everyone's a Miranda, VHS porn is a weird thing, we've all snooped around someone else's place when they leave you alone for a couple hours, and of course, because of the Mandela Effect, Bellamy and I come from different realities. As always there's some dog shenanigans, we try to recreate the theme and we yell about stuff. Oh shoot, my foot fell asleep while I was writing this and now I have pins and needles (you know, the tingleees) going through my foot and up my calf. Crap.  Tune in eac

  • S2 Ep5 - 16 and Pregnart [S1 Ep 2 - Farrah]

    30/01/2017 Duration: 01h42min

What is good? What is bad? What qualifies as excellent, reaching, existential content that allows one who experiences it to grow and change, to become a better person, and in doing so, reflect a little on the world, and society upon which they live, struggle, and hopefully thrive? NOT. THIS. SHOW. This show.... is just.... hot, hot garbage. MTV and VH1, just cranking out ALL the reality TV show hits. Well, it's over folks, five weeks, five reality TV shows and the Get Real Edition comes to a resounding conclusion in Sixteen and Pregnant. The show where you could very easily show an unsought upon challenge being thrust upon the live's of unprepared individuals who come together as friends, family, and a community to make the sacrifices and put in the hard work necessary to bring a new life into this world. Again: THIS. IS. NOT. THAT. SHOW. No, instead, listen along as we debate Nietzsche's Abyss, the life skills of the modern 16 year old, and why does MTV seem to literally refuse to point their cameras (or may

  • S2 Ep 4 - I Love New York [S2 Ep 1 - Let's Do It Again!]

    23/01/2017 Duration: 01h36min

New York! What a wonderful city! The city that never sleeps, the city that brought us Broadway, The Great Bambino, way to many Dick Clark New Year's shows, apparently pizza, and now THIS?! That's right we watch VH1's "I Love New York" which IS NOT a misappropriated Travel Channel show but actually a show about... I... I actually don't know who she is... a woman famous for.... I ... I actually have no idea why she's even famous... well a woman looking for love in all the wrong... but, like... is she really? I mean, it all seems kind of staged.... but then isn't all reality TV? Well at least you can watch along as we take an in depth look at how gender roles are reversed in pop culture dating, the portrayal of African American culture in television, and... seriously who am I kidding, this is the exact same show as Rock of Love but with different people doing slightly different things. Did you listen to Rock of Love last week? Same show, only we get a little bit crazier, the jokes are a little bit zanier, the wh

  • S2 Ep 3 - Rock of Love [Hustle on the Bustle]

    16/01/2017 Duration: 01h43min

Well ladies and gentlemen we are smack in the middle of the Get Real Edition of You've Never Seen That?! and the bomb has dropped. What bomb you ask? Roughly a 30 megaton nuclear explosive of hot, hot garbage, full of trash bag people and it landed ALL OVER a tour bus full of Bret Michael (The Guy from Linkin Park) and 20 women who we're not entirely certain aren't some of the women from the Drag Race repurposed for more reality TV. Actually, ya know what, no, that does NOT do the queens of last week justice, the only thing they sometimes have in common is wildly obnoxious make up, and as last week taught us, sometimes that can be used as a tool for empowering a person's self expression.... and sometimes it's just obnoxious. I'll give you a hint as to what this one was, it rhymes with "really obnoxious". Watch along as we apologize for objectifying women (because that's all this show is), try and redeem ourselves to our listeners from the south (seriously, we love you), and wonder just how some of this hot, h

  • S2 Ep 2 - RuPaul's Drag Race [S8 Ep 1 - Keeping it 100!]

    09/01/2017 Duration: 01h38min

Guys. Guys. Guys! Alright, so that's a double entendre, get it, cause, they're dudes in drag. That's right, yuk it up bitches because we're about to get sassy AF as we Keep It 100 on this week's episode in which we review RuPaul's Drag Race. This show is in-fucking-sane. Listen along as we talk about empowering people, following your dreams, loving yourself, and being a God damn goddess. We had an idea what to expect with the concept of this show but OH BOY did we have no idea how it would actually play out. There's a cosplay lion, Nicole Richie, a lip sync dance battle and so many one liners we even lost count. This show has it all, and is given to you like an Avant Garde art piece from that one kid you knew in high school that you agreed to go to their first show in college only to realize it's absolutely fucking bonkers, and in that; perfect and beautiful. We get so stoked to talk about RuPaul's Drag Race because quite frankly we should all be living like these queens. Good luck, and don't fuck it up.  Tun

  • S2 Ep 1 - The Amazing Race [S28 Ep1 - I Should Have Been a Boy Scout]

    02/01/2017 Duration: 01h34min

It's finally here people! Near year, new you! And that means a whole new season of You've Never Seen That! For your new year pleasure we present to you The "Get Real!" Edition of our podcast. Same guys, same sexy, sexy voice, but now with the fast acting power of Reality Television! One thing we're hoping isn't new, is your patronizing this show. And no, not like, a returning user, but in the sense of constantly talking down to us like we're a bunch of dumb dumbs. Listen along as we check out, and surprisingly like, The Amazing Race, and are astonished by Jerry Bruckheimer continuing to crush it. It gets crazy as we talk about oddly sexual relationships, the changes in internet marketing, how we just absolutely hate certain people, and finally how CBS may or may not just be making up native culture for ratings.  Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S1 Ep 27 - Two Broke Girls [S2 Ep 3 - And The Hold Up]

    26/12/2016 Duration: 01h43min

Merry Christmas everyone! Or well day after, but hopefully you the holiday spirit is still strong with in you because you may need some comfort food, good cheer, and copious amounts of spiked eggnog if you have to sit through an episode of Two Broke Girls. Or just listen to us dissect it as if somewhere in the world Chuck Lorre were actually saying "Do I even give a shit about what I make, or do I just love these many, many briefcases full of money". I won't even bother with the customary "arguably" because this just is the worst show we've ever watched. It's like the unloved vestigial twin of Mike and Molly - the parasite we never really knew existed, that never got the chance to grow up. Make sure to tune in next week as we begin our exploration of reality TV for the month of January, and in the meantime, enjoy our scathing review, sexy voices, and of course, a happy new years. Also, thank you guys for not telling Mariah, we still have a podcast because you guys didn't.  Tune in each Monday as we choose a n

  • S1 Ep 26 - Chicago Fire [S1 Ep 17 - Better To Lie]

    19/12/2016 Duration: 01h45min

Hey guys, don't, I repeat, please, DONT tell Mariah we used her song, like for real. Beyond that, Happy Holidays. And, oh yeah, I guess beyond that we watched Chicago Fire. There are times in every person's life where they look at what they've done and they have to ask themselves "Is what I'm doing, doing good?" We'd like to think the answer to that, is yes. We'd also firmly agree that for the people who write shows like Chicago Fire, and Mike and Molly, the answer, is clearly: no. Follow along in this action packed story about robots who can't act, or maybe they're just bland actors who got crappy writing, or maybe it's just a shitty premise for bad art perpetuated by Dick Wolff and Chuck Lorre types. Hopefully you find our discussion enjoyable even if this show was not. And oh yeah, spoiler, Dick Wolff, NOT an anthropomorphic cartoon, wolf/human hybrid. So yeah, it gets even worse. Head on over to Chili's and laugh at awful TV with us and then have a great holiday. Again, for real guys, DO NOT tell Mariah a

  • S1 Ep 25 - Courgartown [S5 Ep 11 - Refugee]

    12/12/2016 Duration: 01h35min

Well weren't we in for a surprise this week! Both in Minnesota's blustery onset of sudden winter, and with the radical show Cougartown. Expecting the worst we were all pleasantly surprised. At least about the show... I guess the snow too, but at least, more about the show. The snow did give us a nice riff for the show too though. What happened to Courtney Cox, you say? Where have the cast of Scrubs been since the show ended? Well let me tell you! Apparently they all high tailed it down to Sarasota, Fl to create a delightfully humorous television sitcom. We find out that we love Scrubs way too much, and think way more highly of creator Bill Lawrence than we ever did of Chuck Lorre. Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S 1 Ep 24 - Yu Gi Oh! [S3 Ep 25 - Back To Battle City, Pt. 1]

    05/12/2016 Duration: 01h34min

Take an astral projection along with us as we jump back in time to the early two thousands and do our best to reach across time and space to convince 13 year old Bellamy and Haase to invest their lives in Yu Gi Oh! You guys. This. Is. A. Good. Show. We discuss the nature of being reincarnated pharaohs, some things not translating from Japanese, and of course, as always: Andrew Dice Clay. Keep your ears peeled for special appearances from John Wayne as well as our exceptionally questionable Japanese animation voice. If you were feeling down because of our review of Mike and Molly, PERK UP! Because this is all the young teen angst and epic battle scenes that you need this week in Back to Battle City, Part 1!   Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S1 Ep 23 - Mike and Molly [S2 Ep 56 - Happy Halloween]

    28/11/2016 Duration: 01h36min

Well, we may have done it folks, we may have possibly hit rock bottom, the lowest of the lows, vile beast of television I call thee: Mike and Molly. Spare not the rod for this awful, awful show, turn thy whips back upon it and it's master Chuck Lorre. If you haven't picked up on the theme yet, our vengeance fort his show is both swift, and biblical. I know we say "arguably the worst show we've seen" but this one simply is the worst show we've ever seen. Tag along as we explore a world of oddly sexist, racist, altogether intolerant that seems like it should be from television from the 50's... that might even be too recent, like, i dunno, the 1850s, that was actually released in 2011. That's right, only 5 years ago and some how this God awful show got made. On the bright side, we'd like to believe our 90 minute diatribe and attempt to linguistically and wittily beat this show to death, will be absolutely delightful to listen to.    Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assu

  • S1 Ep 22 - Once Upon A Time [S5 Ep 16 - Our Decay]

    21/11/2016 Duration: 01h33min

In a world where title's sound super metal about stories that we remember being very childish comes the most bad ass, hybrid chimera of delightful family programing and an all around raucous good time: Once Upon A Time. Come along as we apparently don't go to Storybrooke, Maine, and spend most of our time, bouncing around in time, between the Underworld and the magical land of Oz. We discuss the female version of Michael Caine, the worst super power ever, and find out what Cris Angel's been up to all these years since he was almost relevant. We find our selves smack dab in the middle of a giant weave of baby mama drama, time travel blood magic, and one of the most epically hardcore death blows we've ever seen on screen. Seriously, RIP Scarecrow, that shit was br00tal.    Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S1 Ep 21 - Scandal [S5 Ep 12 - Wild Card]

    14/11/2016 Duration: 01h33min

Scandal... what is there to say about Scandal other than there was a whole lot of implied jazz in this episode. In a show that's all about political intrigue, having adult relations as The President of the United States, and maybe being spies or media consultants, or sleeper cell agents we experience... well, all of those things. A show that one of us can't decide if it's good, and the other thoroughly enjoys we go through the twists and turns of the realization that no one is a good person and that Shonda Rhymes is slowly becoming more and more jaded about the world. We may have once and for all finally entirely lost our minds this week while reviewing: Scandal.  Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S1 Ep 20 - Sleepy Hollow [S3 Ep 13 - Dark Mirror]

    07/11/2016 Duration: 01h39min

We'd like to believe that from the ashes of one of the worst shows we've ever watched has risen one of the best episodes we've ever recorded. We talk about all the greats like awful making, terrible CGI, inaccurate history, lazy writing, Xerxes from 300, how everyone on this show is a poor man's version of someone else, and a lot of hot Fox garbage. To anyone who likes this show, again, as we state in the podcast, we'd like to explicitly not apologize for our merciless review. In a world where a show could have been good, but it seems like the writers got way to drunk and high the night before having to turn in a script they hadn't even started on, two dudes get to review the plot, characters, and speculate on whether or not a fandom even exists. Please enjoy the delightful romp through quite possibly one of our generations biggest television blunders. Guys, I honestly think it's worse than The Slap.    Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S1 Ep 19 - Downtown Abbey [S2 Ep.1]

    02/11/2016 Duration: 01h47min

Take a dip into the lavish life of... hold on, no, a Gossip Girl reference doesn't do this show justice. Follow along with our Spoooooky Scary Halloween episode as we explore the Great War, British high society, and sing the praises of The Dame Maggie Smith in quite possibly our best episode yet. This week we watch Downtown Abbey and discuss the relationship of high society and the servants, possible cousin lovin, and some serious blackmail and intrigue. We struggle with arguably the largest character and nuanced cast list we've ever had to deal with, but by the end of the episode THINK we've got it, and the blood line down. Full of copious references to Battlefield 1, Harry Potter, and even a couple awful Cockney Accents, check out our episode of Downtown Abbey. Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S1 Ep 18 - Degrassi: The Next Generation [S8 Ep18 - The Danger Zone]

    24/10/2016 Duration: 01h29min

Welcome one, welcome all to the show the consistently brings you jackassery based around television shows you may or may not have seen before. Unlike any other podcast you've ever listened to, the exceptionally average You've Never Seen That brings you a treat the likes of which you'll likely see again! An episode about.... Degrassi. And... no... there wasn't any Drake. We were bummed too. Listen along as we delve into a world twisted by Canadian angst and the pressures of high school as we end up deciding this show actually probably has had a pretty positive influence on the world, even if Canada really seems to have no idea how gun violence or the tactics to resolve it are actually played out. Snuggle up with a couple friends, and pull out your glocks if you don't get that cheeseburger, this episode is sure to steal your heart, and most of your Canadian money out of the safe. Will Blue Cheese X-Treme go on to become a national treasure, are there really only 14 police officers in Canada, and why did I forge

  • S1 Ep 17 - Spin City [S2 Ep 9 - A Family Affair Pt. 1]

    18/10/2016 Duration: 01h36min

As our jaunt through the sitcoms of the 90's unintentionally continues we come across an interesting derivation in the plan, and it is, that there seems to be no derivation in the plan what so ever. In an eerie twilight zone-lisque episode we do our best not to draw parallels between News Radio and Spin City, but fail when we realize, they're basically the same show. With some good ol fashioned 90's ignorance, and a debate over whether or not people have to have died to warrant a moment of silence, follow along as we descend further into the rabbit hole that makes television from 20 years ago look like it was set in a time out of time where stereotyping was still cool, budgets were low, profits were high, and television may have been at its all time low. At least in terms of sit coms that only ran for about 5 or 6 seasons and then get reviewed by assholes on the internet two decades later.

  • S1 Ep 16 - News Radio [S3 Ep 13 - Led Zeppelin Boxed Set]

    10/10/2016 Duration: 01h25min

Well we asked for it, and now I'm not certain if we have buyer's remorse or not. This week we watched one of the 90's better....? Maybe? Sit-Com's "News Radio" We talk about how life was just different back then, how the landscape of television has changed, get some strange new sponsors, and actually talk very little about the actual show "News Radio". We do, however, clear up the Just Shoot Me, Spin City, News Radio dilemma of our Boardwalk Empire episode, discuss the prolific character acting career of Stephen Root, and check in on Joe Rogan to see what he's been up to lately. Listen in to a slight miracle of odds that happens at the end of the podcast and just to clarify, the dog's fine, he didn't eat the dice. Bellamy's Fantasy Football team, however, sadly, didn't make it.  Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S1 Ep 15 Boardwalk Empire [S2 Ep2 - Ourselves Alone]

    03/10/2016 Duration: 01h41min

In arguably the best performed, and most well written show we've ever watch we may finally lose our minds once and for all. Boardwalk Empire is the quintessential show that if you jump in to a random episode of a random season, you have 100% no idea what the hell is going on. In this episode we learn about gangster nicknames, period piece slang, dialect, and accents, and about how much we love Steve Buscemi. A show that features Matt Murdock before his incident that led to him becoming The Daredevil, it also focuses on 1920's prohibition and the both moral, and politically corrupt and bankrupt Atlantic City. There's a lot of smooth talking, racial slur using, public place indoor smoking in this show about how business and pleasure aren't always kept separate.    Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.

  • S1 Ep 14 - Gilmore Girls [S3 Ep 11 - I Solemnly Swear]

    26/09/2016 Duration: 01h45min

Take a delightful trip with us to Star's Hollow, Connecticut as we peak in on the charmingly lovely lives of Lorelei and Rory Gilmore and their doins about town. Meet all the who's who of Chilton Academy and hear all about local rich lady Emily Gilmore's gripes with the most recently released Gerta, the cleaning lady. Why is it so hard to find good help without making veiled, or maybe not even veiled, references to Nazi Germany's invading of France? We learn all about the School Council's politics, enjoy Melissa McCarthy in a much more innocent role, and talk about our mutual love of Lauren Graham. Don't worry Alexis Bledel, we love you too. I'd love to write more about what happens in our episode, but the truth is they're all kind of running together for me now since I've been binging this show for the last week.  Tune in each Monday as we choose a new show and make more wildly inaccurate assumptions. Okay byeeeeee.
