Panda presents Lynx in the mix. Emerging as a producer in 2007, Lynx has been bringing a fresh new perspective to the drum and bass genre with funk-fuelled and minimalist beats and delicate bits of sound precisely laid down in his tracks. His track "Disco Dodo" made a huge impact on the scene as it was completely different from anything we heard before. Fabio called Lynx an "Electronic Genius", Laurent Garnier called him "Brilliant" and MixMag made Lynx's "Keep It Low" its tune of the month. After releasing music on labels such as Soul:R, Digital Soundboy, Creative Source, Bingo and 31 Records, Lynx launched his own imprint Detail Recordings and on there he has been working with artists such as Kemo, Seed and Sense MC. Their latest release "Kill All Bastards" is out now on Heavy Artillery and can be downloaded from http://j.mp/oilpw8 In this mix, The Damn Bell Doors bring us 13 of their and friends' latest tracks, remixes and exclusives in an almost 45 minutes of pure heaven! Panda presents Furlonge in the mix. Classically trained from a young ago, Dom, aka Furlonge, started writing music in 2002 while attending university. After three years of production work and getting closer to graduation, and in turn the boring life of a dayjob, Furlonge decided music was to be his career. Getting picked up by Viper's Futurebound, Furlonge got to push out his first few releases on the imprint with a great response in the scene and continues to do so now. His tracks feature influences from classical, jazz and rock music and all have a heavy colourful spark of funk and electro mixed in there. • #41 - Lounge Mix - Hiatus

    15/09/2011

Panda launches the first installment of his new Lounge Mix Show on YouTube with special guest Hiatus. Hailing from Brixton, UK with an Iranian heritage, Hiatus' musical start began when he learnt to play the piano at the age of five. At university, Hiatus played keyboard in a band called Holy Smoke and then quickly moved on, getting into dance music and actually started to DJ drum and bass - another reason for having him on the show of course ;) Hiatus self-describes his music as a type of cinematic electronica. It has heavy ambient and chill out influences but luckily does not fall back in to the cliché sounds of lounge. In fact, most of his tracks have a rather deep melodramatic and dark atmosphere about them. Hiatus' work also has a distinct Middle Eastern tint to it and that's for a reason: he travels back to Iran every year to look for records to bring back and sample those in his music. Last year after hearing her sing in a live show, Hiatus started working with Shura, a singer from London, who he no

  • #40 - Dubstep Mix - JFB

Panda presents a special guest this month: Brighton's two-time UK DMC champion JFB. Just a few months ago he scooped the UK DMC 2011 title for the second time after winning it in 2007. The story of JFB starts back in 1996 when he started out playing Drum and Bass on local pirate radio stations. Implementing scratch techniques in his sets, he soon started playing out in clubs around Brighton and later in London. Receiving many residencies around the country, JFB improved rapidly and finally won his first prize, the Vestax Scratch Championship at London's The End club. Touring around the UK and Europe, JFB met Beardyman with whom he started the night Battlejam, an innovative event concept which brings improvised video DJ skills and rhymes together. Meanwhile, JFB still worked on his own productions and used the tracks in his sets. His production work has been just as succesful as his DJing, as he now has tracks signed to Hospital Records and recently released his official remix of Fatboy Slim's legendary tra

In 2006, the flow of singles culminated into the launch of their debut album "Northern Soul". It received rave reviews across the music press with Mixmag hailing it as "exceptional" and IDJ putting it on #6 in their top 100 albums of the year. After the album release, the trio became a duo and changed their name to Craggz & Parallel. Essentially, they've moved into their second musical phase now and they are producing tracks with more experimental and darker expressions. There's a lot of Metalheadz sound in there but Craggz & Parallel distinguish themselves from it by bringing that touch of colour and climax in their tunes that we know from before. In this mix, Cr
