Today, in much the same way, we often impose our own ideas and traditions on how we should observe the Sabbath and follow God’s commandments. As we study, we look into the purpose of the Sabbath, why and how we should keep it, and how imposing our own dogmas over it can lead us away from God’s intentions.

After the shepherds come to worship Him and give glory to God, we see Jesus presented in the Temple by His parents, where they encounter two elderly people who have been waiting a long time to see the Messiah finally arrive.
