Your Voice Of Encouragement

Prayer Champions let's continue to trust God. The chorus of an old church hymn says, Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey. Those lyrics remind us that there is a purpose for trusting and obeying God. The words of two of the verses say, But we never can prove the delights of His love, Until all on the altar we lay; For the favor, He shows, for the joy He bestows, Are for them who will trust and obey. Then in fellowship sweet, we will sit at His feet, Or we’ll walk by His side in the way; What He says we will do, where He sends we will go; Never fear, only trust and obey.

Prayer Champions, we must forgive if we do not want our prayers hindered. The act of forgiving is something that one chooses to do. It is a willingness to give up the desire to punish someone who has caused an offense. Choosing to forgive leads to our emotional healing. It is the process of letting go of negative emotions and having total peace about who we are, what we are doing, and where we are going, individually and in a relationship with others. "In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do.  You can't get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others.  If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God’s part."(Matthew 6:14, Message)

Prayer Champions, it is imperative to our prayer lives that we have faith in God. It is in God we live and move and have our being.  We are dependent upon the Lord and want our lives to bring God glory as we pray for ourselves and others, confidently and in faith through the power of the Holy Spirit. When we pray in faith, we believe that God can answer our prayers. It means that we trust God no matter how things may seem. When we ask in faith, it indicates that we know that God has the solution for our problem. Our faith assures us that God will allow things to work together for our good. “So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God.  For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” (Mark 11:22, NKJV)

Prayer Champions, what scriptures inspire you? When you need inspiration, do you have verses that you can turn to for motivation? Do you have scriptures that prompt you or empower you to move forward? One of my favorite inspirational scriptures is Proverbs 16:3, NIV, Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.

Not only is this the first Wednesday of a brand month, but it is also the very first Wednesday of a brand new year! Prayer Champions, let’s give thanks unto the Lord! God is great and God is greatly to be praised. As we know prayer champions, our intimate relationship with God grants us access to the throne of Grace. We also know how to pray in various formats. All prayer is not warfare, or petitions, or seeking God only when we are in trouble. As prayer champions, we offer prayers of worship, adoration, and also prayers of thanksgiving. Today is that type of prayer day. Today we say thank You for all that God has done for us. Today is all about expressing our gratitude and our love for our Lord.

Prayer Champions, let's welcome Pastor Tedd Washington, founder of Grace for Living Ministries! Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Washington has evolved into a strong teacher of the Word, delivering dynamic motivational teachings with humor, and anointing to both church audiences and religious seminars. Prayer Champions, we have made it to the start of another month! Thank You, Jesus! Let's take the time every day to count our blessings and express the things and people in our lives for which we are grateful. Although we are still in the midst of a global pandemic, we can still express our gratitude for what we do have! Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for God is good!

Prayer Champions, although we are here on earth, we have an Advocate, Comforter, Helper, and Sustainer that was sent by Christ and who dwells within us. It is the Holy Spirit that according to 1 John 4:4, is greater within us than what is out there in the world. It is this divine privilege that sets us apart and, transforms our lives. We have a superior existence empowered by the Holy Spirit. Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. Psalm 5:12, NIV

Prayer Champions, let's welcome our special guest, Pastor Patricia Washington! She is the co-founder of Grace For Living Ministries in Longwood, FL.  As is her character she is totally dedicated to the ministry and most especially to the “People of Grace” for whom she spends countless hours fasting and praying.  Much of her time is spent counseling women in the way of the Word.  She is a strong advocate of breaking generational curses. Pastor Patricia is an anointed exalter with strong praise in her heart and on her lips. She desires to see others commit themselves to Christ. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1  (KJV)

As Intercessors, there is a Purpose for serving each Wednesday during this International Prayer Broadcast.   We are no longer our own. We were bought at a price and now belong to the Lord with dominion granted by God over a sphere of influence. We exist in a world that is both spiritual and natural. There are tangible things that we can handle with our five senses. There are also intangible things that exist in another, spiritual realm that cannot be seen. With this prayer assignment, we have greater authorization and power residing in us because we belong to Christ than those who are merely in the world. Ezekiel 22:30, CEB, I looked for anyone to repair the wall and stand in the gap for me on behalf of the land, so I wouldn’t have to destroy it. But I couldn’t find anyone.

Be Encouraged Prayer Champions! Often, fear can cause us to miss the positive things in our lives.  Instead of seeing the good, fear causes us to focus on the negative.  As Prayer Champions, we are not to allow fear to rule our lives.  Perfect love for JESUS CHRIST allows us to cast out all fear.  We have the authority to confidently face fearful situations armed with the knowledge that the greatest power is on GOD’S side.  Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank God for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. God’s peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7, TLB

Greetings Prayer Champions and welcome to the first day of autumn or Fall here in the United States.  In the fall we transition from hot weather to cold weather. It is the season when the duration of daylight decreases and the length of the night increase. One of the main features of fall is the change of color of the green leaves of deciduous trees as they prepare to shed. God’s handiwork is glorious if ever you get out in nature and take a fall foliage tour around forests, nature parks, and other places where trees grow. “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22, NKJV

Prayer Champions, when I think of other words for fear, I can list the words terror, dread, anxiety, horror, distress, fright. Panic, alarm, trepidation, apprehension, worry, concern, be afraid, frightened, scared, fearful, or full of fear. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7, NKJV Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] John 14:27, AMPC

Prayer Champions, there are numerous prayer resources available to us through Christian authors who have researched, written, and published books about prayer.  Today I want to share with you from E. M. Bounds Book on Prayer. It is 622 pages packed with prayer information backed up with scripture and sections entitled; Purpose in Prayer, The Necessity of Prayer, The Possibilities of Prayer, Essentials of Prayer, Obtaining Answers to Prayer, Power Through Prayer, and The Weapon of Prayer.”

Prayer Champions, we go boldly to the Throne of Grace! We always thank and praise God in everything and in every situation, then we are ready for the blessings of God to overtake us. We refuse to allow things that are beyond our control to torment us. God wants each of us to reap an extraordinary harvest from the word seeds we sow.  God’s love for us is so lavish, protective, and everlasting that He will never abandon us. Remember, God will always send His peace to comfort and sustain us. God’s peace is enough to soothe our doubts and calm our misgivings.  We are also encouraged as Jesus speaks to our hearts from the Holy Word. No matter what the future may hold, or how long we have to wait for a change in our situations, we know beyond any doubt that God loves us with everlasting love. We are encouraged to continue praying the scriptures. “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to God’s will, God hears us. And if we know that God hears us—whatever we ask—we know
