Pastor Dan O’Friel preaches a sermon entitled "Return to the Lord" based on our reading in Hosea 14. As the last chapter in the Book of Hosea, we read of the Lord’s healing hand working even in their faith in the Lord and to the Lord. In the previous chapters, chapters 3-13, we read of Israel’s waywardness and faithlessness. We read of Israel’s wickedness in their sin and find that like them, we too have gone astray. Ultimately though we read of God’s unfailing love for His people and how He “will heal their backsliding” and “will love them freely.” We see that the Lord did this for His people there and then and how He still does this for His people here and now.

Pastor Don begins a new sermon series in what Bible scholars call the “Minor Prophets” in the Old Testament. Reading from Hosea 3, we find the scandalous love story of Hosea and his cheating wife Gomer. In the same way that Hosea loved Gomer, the Lord loves us even as we have been unfaithful and adulterous against God.

Pastor Don preaches a sermon entitled “Three Words About Daniel” based on our reading in Daniel 9. Here we find a man who set himself to live his life purposefully in his faith. Here we see a man of God constantly in prayer as we should be. Here we see a man of God looking forward to the fulfillment of God’s Word and Promise. These three words; Purposeful, Prayerful, Prophetic, describe Daniel but does this also describe you and your life?
