Ever felt hopeless and abandoned, without a friend in the world? In a sermon entitled “Friend of Sinners”, Pastor Don Modglin shows us why Jesus was called the “Friend of Sinners” and how He earned that title. Reading from Matthew 9 we see how so many had an attitude of abandonment towards sinners. The tax collector here in our story was someone that most, if not all, avoided at all costs. We find Jesus here not only seeking the sinner but calling all sinners as we are all sinners. In finding Jesus we find not only our greatest Friend but really our only true Friend. In finding Jesus we find our hope and our future.
