What does Revelation 3 have to do with Christmas? In His letter to the church in Laodicea, Jesus says he is standing on the outside, knocking and waiting to to be let in. Sound familiar? When people think Christmas, they don't often think Revelation. But, to truly understand the glory of the first Advent of Christ, you must view it through the lens of the 2nd Advent. In part 3 of Isaiah's prayer for revival, we see that after the prophet made a desperate INVITATION for God to come down to His people once again, and seeing the faithful EXPECTATION that God does not forget or abandon His people, we see Isaiah shift to a mode of PREPARATION for God to move.

What do you expect from God? We know He's great. We know He's big. We believe He's all powerful. Then, why do we doubt Him so much? In Isaiah's prayer for revival in Isaiah 64, we see that God responds when people faithfully expect God to do so.
