It's really easy to forget that God is on our side isn't it? We can so easily lose sight of the differene He's made in our lives. When this happens we lose our joy and hope. We become more focussed on what God hasn't done then what He has done.In part 1 of our On Our Side, Doug encourages us to remember the incredible difference it makes to have God on our side.

One of the scariest things in life is to be in a place where there is nothing you can do about your situation. One of the most stressful times this happens is when you're financially stuck. Maybe a job was lost, financial aid was denied, a car died or a hospital bill was astronaumical. In part 1 of this new series, Doug talks about what to do when we are stuck in an impossible situation.

Christians and churches are really great at going to extremes. Some are all about grace. We spend a lot of time and energy trying to attain peace by making our lives trouble free. The sad part is, we will never succeed at it. Trouble has a way of finding every one of us. What does it look like to be someone who experiences God? Is there something that people who experience God have in common? In the last part of Experience, Doug talks about an important key we need in our pursit of experiencing God.

It can be really hard to reach people for God. We may feel scared to share our faith or worried we'll be rejected. We may feel like we're not qualified or don't know enough to share our faith. What if an experience with God would make all the difference? In Experience Part 3, Doug helps us see that there is a link between experiencing God and reaching others for Him.

We often try our best to live for God but fall short. Things like impurity, gossip, unforgiveness and selfishness seem to keep us enslaved. Is there anything that will motivate us to surrender our lives more to God and honor Him with our choices? In Experience Part 2, Doug talks about the link between experiencing God and living for Him.

Sometimes we forget how powerful God is. Sometimes it feels like God isn't all that close. Sometimes we doubt His love. Sometimes we wonder if He is present at all. In Experience Part 1, Doug talks about how an experience with God changes all of that.

We are really great at measuring our own shortcomings. We beat ourselves up all the time over the things we'd wish we'd never done. Other people measure our shortcomings too. They remind us of how we wronged them or hurt them. God also measures our shortcomings. He knows every sin we've ever committed.So what do we do? How can we break free of the guilt and shame associated with our sin? In this one part message, Doug talks about 2 immeasurable elements that save the day.
