In this sermon we explore the biblical foundation for the Sabbath, who is the authority over the Sabbath, and what the implications are for the Lord's Sabbath.

Christianity is set apart from every other religion. Jesus comes preaching a new faith, an exclusive faith, an authoritative faith, and a joyful faith.

Jesus teaches us that we are to pray and he gives us instructions both how to, and how not to pray.

There is no such thing as better people and worse people when they come face to face with Jesus. There are only two types of people: those who are sick in desperate need of a Physician, and those who have been healed by the Great Physician. Jesus calls sinners. Jesus cares for sinners. Jesus bids sinners to "come."

Jesus displays great power in his miracles. But tucked between two accounts of healing we see Jesus true nature and purpose.

Church government has often been debated, but we at Redeemer serve under the conviction that the Bible supports a plurality of elders.

Jesus has all the authority of God as he teaches with authority, proves that he has the power to command demons, and leaves crowds astonished. But we can't simply be amazed at his words or his deeds. We must stand in awe of who he is.

The call to salvation and the call to discipleship are one in the same. Discipleship, then, is not an option. In this sermon, we take a look at what Jesus means by it.

Jesus comes preaching his first sermon which, in effect, is a summation of all his preaching. He says, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel." Though his message may seem obvious, these three often heard themes (the kingdom of God, repentance, and faith) are some of the most misunderstood in all of Scripture. Rather than gloss over them, we must think carefully about them. The difference is eternal life or everlasting death.

In the baptism and temptation of Jesus, Mark highlights the humanity and divinity of Christ. He comes as no one expects, but is revealed in a way we can't ignore. Here the extra-ordinary proves to be extraordinary.

This is the first sermon in our series on the Gospel of Mark. Here Mark sets the stage for his good news: Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.

God is saving a people for himself through the Gospel of His Son, Jesus Christ...not simply saving individuals. We cannot love Christ and not love his church. For believers, community is not an option.

Jesus said that God is seeking those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth. If we are to worship God in a way that pleases him, it must be done in, with, and through truth.

Family is at the center of God's plan of redemption and through them, we have the opportunity to reflect the glory of God. In this sermon we look at how Christ is glorified by wives, husbands, children, and parents.

God created through proclamation. God saves by proclamation. Our lives are proclamation. What will you proclaim?

Worship is why we were created. Therefore it's only fitting that it be one of the core values of our church.

Love is never separated from the truth. It is directed first to God, but overflows naturally to others without impartially. Love finds its fulfillment in Christ.
