Marriage has always been a controversial issue. As a disciple of Christ we must form convictions for marriage based upon God's intention for it.

Life has consequences because eternity is real, sin is serious, but God is faithful to give assurance that comes from obedience.

True Christian unity requires pure motives and careful discernment as we seek to glorify Christ alone.

Give thanks to God because of salvation, because he blesses his children, and because he is faithful.

To share in Christ's glory, we must also share in his suffering.

Abiding in Christ comes from resting in who we are as children of God.

Discipleship is not simply affirming who Jesus is and knowing why he came. You can do these things and still put yourself at the center. True discipleship is a mind set on the things of God.

Jesus opens physical eyes to prove that he is the one who opens spiritual eyes to see who he is and what he has done.

Every time you step into a church service or some sort of worship gathering you sing. Do you ever wonder why?

Forgetfulness or the inability to see the Lord's grace + the influence of the hard-hearted = the inability to perceive

God is not a cold, distant, rule-making crutch. He shows that he is near as Jesus softens hearts with his compassion, opens eyes to behold God's glory, opens ears to the Gospel, and loosens tongues to proclaim his excellencies.

Though we are not worthy to approach him, Jesus is ready to save.

The mandate to reach the nations is bound to the call to salvation. For us, that means we need to be intential at reaching the unreached. The Hispanic community in Champaign-Urbana is the most under-reached group around. We have a gospel priority to reach them.

God is not honored when we thoughtlessly perform religious duties, but desires we worship with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Jesus has freed us from the trappings of human tradition so that our worship might be dependent upon its true authority.

We all have a condition. Our hearts are hard. The only thing that can free us from this condition is this: Jesus' true identity can overcome the nature of man's heart by the abundance of his grace.
