  • Car of the Year Nominees

    22/12/2018 Duration: 43min

Extremely delayed in publishing; this episode goes over the nominees for this year's Car of the Year award with our magazine. We're in the studio with Adi, Jerry, and a member of our team who is new to podcasting. Stuart talks about his fleet of red Fords, and the Lexus NX 300 he has been driving. Jerry whines about the infotainment system in the Lexus LS 500, and we go on about how lovely the Genesis G70 is.

  • Live from Los Angeles

    30/11/2018 Duration: 52min

We're live from the LA Auto Show, learning about the latest reveals in the North American auto industry. We did some quick recording from the cabin of the new Kia K900, and then brought in some friends from the Canadian journalism and auto world. Visitors to our podcast this episode are auto journalists Dan Heyman and Evan Williams, and our friend and Mopar enthusiast Brad Horn from Fiat-Chrysler Canada. Cars talked about include the new Porsche 911, Jeep Gladiator, and many more!

  • The Bucket Seat

    14/11/2018 Duration: 01h05min

This week we’re honoured to have Trevor Byrne in the studio. Trevor is the mastermind behind the Bucket Seat podcast and is a connoisseur of all things automotive. He’s also a closet Subaru fanboy but has a long history with older tuned Hondas. In the garage this week is some great machinery including the Toyota Corolla Hatchback, the new Lexus LS 500 F-Sport, the BMW M5 Competition, and the Range Rover Td6 diesel. We also say farewell to one of our colleagues, a regular podcast teammate.

  • My Fairlady

    31/10/2018 Duration: 56min

We have driven a variety of classic Nissan Z cars, namely a 1972 Datsun 240Z and a 1996 300ZX Twin Turbo. Jerry fawns over one, and Adi fawns over the other. We have just overnighted Louis from Japan and hear about his experiences there. We also covered two racetracks in one day, and Adi is back from judging for Canadian Car of the Year with the Automotive Journalists Association of Canada.

  • Aventador x 720S

    17/10/2018 Duration: 37min

We've driven a duo of supercars; the McLaren 720S and the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster. We talk in depth about the differences between 710 and 740 horsepower, and how much of a scalpel the 720S is. The Lamborghini is exactly what a dream car should be, and we touch on that too. Also, Adi bought something with a V8, and we compare Jerry's test drive of the Camaro SS to the Mustang Bullitt and the Challenger Hellcat.

  • R8 for Kicks

    02/10/2018 Duration: 54min

Guest and friend of the podcast Art Malczewski is in the studio, talking about his experience with older Mercedes-Benz vehicles, his BMW 2002, and his latest Japanese acquisition. We have the Nissan Kicks and the Audi R8 V10 Plus in the studio, both cars we REALLY enjoyed and are excited about. Adi has also just returned from the Northwest Territories where he drove the redesigned 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, and Louis went to California to drive the new all-wheel-drive Nissan Altima!

  • White Socks, Loafers, and the Acura NSX

    17/09/2018 Duration: 57min

We have two insane vehicles outside the studio right now -- the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk and the new Acura NSX. We discuss in detail the effect this NSX has on us, as well as the 707-horsepower Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee. We get into some debate and also touch on some other models such as the new all-electric Smart EQ Fortwo.

  • Woodward Stories

    04/09/2018 Duration: 52min

Back from the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit, we talk about all things Mustang. Adi drove two vintage Mustangs, a right-drive Bullitt, and spent a week with a 2018 GT. We have guests and friends of the podcast Ryan McDoom and Chris Umali in the studio, both local frequenters of the motorsports scene and track day enthusiasts. We have the 2019 Alpina B7 Exclusive Edition parked outside, and compare it to the M760Li Jerry tested earlier in the year.

  • Throttle House Says

    22/08/2018 Duration: 52min

In the studio with us is close friend of the podcast Thomas Holland of "The Throttle House". We have a great battle between the new 2019 Mazda MX-5 and the Fiat 124 Spider. Jerry has brought over a very loud BMW M4 Competition Package, and we discuss other local happenings.

  • Lamborghini Huracan Performante

    08/08/2018 Duration: 01h26s

We're back from some adventures, and vehicles tested include the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, the Rolls-Royce Phantom, and many more. We chat about the Ford Mustang Bullitt, and the updated 2019 Mazda MX-5!

  • Oblivion Car Show

    25/07/2018 Duration: 41min

We're in the studio with Ken and Justin from the Oblivion Car Show (www.oblivioncarshow.ca). An entire movement dedicated to cars of the 1980s and 1990s, this show will be taking place on August 25th in Milton, ON and is on track to be one of the biggest Canadian gatherings of its kind. Oh yeah and the guys showed up to our studio with two DeLorean DMC-12s. We nerd out about the era of cars that makes us happiest, so stay tuned.

  • Model Tree

    10/07/2018 Duration: 43min

We have the Tesla Model 3 on our hands, and we've been putting it through a series of tests. It's also the most controversial car of the decade so far, and we analyze its pros and cons in detail. We also drive the spectacular 600 horsepower BMW M5, the new Jaguar E-Pace, and dabble into some other automotive-related discussion.

  • Gangnam Green

    26/06/2018 Duration: 43min

In the studio back from many trips, we touch on the newly revealed Chevrolet Blazer, along with Jerry's adventure to Detroit where he wound up in some sketchy areas and slept in his own car. Adi hypermiled on the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada's EcoRun with cars like the new Lexus LS 500h, Hyundai IONIQ and Chevrolet Bolt. We also test the Genesis G70, the BMW I3-S, and decide to cut the podcast short and leave so that we can drive something we've been waiting for all year!

  • Ocho the Love Bug

    12/06/2018 Duration: 43min

To start off, we reminisce about Disney's "The Love Bug" and talk about the classic Volkswagen Beetles we've driven. Once we're past that useless banter, we discuss important matters such as the Genesis G70 (with a manual!) parked outside the studio, Louis' trip to Vancouver with a Mazda3, and Adi's trip to B.C. to drive the 2019 Acura RDX. Diving into our own old cars, we talk about Jerry's ongoing Toyota Celica Supra project, and Adi's always-broken-but-beautiful Mercedes 560 SEL.

  • 570 Reasons Why

    25/05/2018 Duration: 57min

We have TWO guests in the studio today; Sami Haj-Assaad of AutoGuide.com and the Unnamed Automotive Podcast, and semi-regular guest Nick Tragianis of Driving.ca! Lots and lots of hot topics on the table including the all-new Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, and McLaren 570S. Nick and Louis were both autocrossing to start off this season's motorsports, and we compare the Kia Stinger GT to the Genesis G70 from a value standpoint.

  • Gimme Five

    11/05/2018 Duration: 51min

Five cylinders are better than four, or six, or maybe eight? Regardless, we're talking about some heavy machinery today, such as the Audi TT RS parked outside the studio. Jerry has also shown up in a Range Rover Velar First Edition with a $10,000 paint job, and we have just finished testing the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster. On top of it all, our own cars have gotten some upgrades and Adi's classic Mercedes 560 SEL has gone under the knife for some major repairs.

  • Wrong Kind of SEO

    27/04/2018 Duration: 59min

It's finally warm out! We've taken our own toys out of winter storage once and for all, and Kevin and Adi have both shown up to the studio with their own two 2004 S2000s. Adi's back from first drives of the Buick Regal GS as well as the Ford F-150 Power Stroke diesel, and Jerry drove a Corolla iM. Kevin is the host of our new subsegment, but you'll have to wait until the very end to find out what it is.

  • Turning over a new Leaf

    12/04/2018 Duration: 47min

Some great announcements in the studio, including Jerry acquiring a new-to-him coupe and Adi selling one of his four cars. We've been out and about driving the new 2018 Nissan Leaf in Ottawa, the 2019 Volkswagen Jetta in North Carolina, and a quick jaunt to Las Vegas for a drive in the prototype 2019 Chevrolet Camaro Turbo 1LE. Other road tests back on our home turf include the Mercedes-Benz S 560, the Buick Enclave, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, and the Jaguar XE S.

  • Fist of the Northstar

    29/03/2018 Duration: 52min

We're in studio talking about some very important new vehicle debuts at the New York Auto Show, namely the Cadillac CT6 V-Sport, the Lincoln Aviator, and more. Adi has just returned from driving the Hyundai Kona, Zack has been in the Jaguar XF, and Kevin is recovering from a deep depression after having to return a Mazda MX-5 RF. Jerry and Adi have both been driving new Honda Accords with different powertrains.

  • Battle of the Boost

    15/03/2018 Duration: 47min

We drive one of the best cars available for sale this year, the 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T, which is also coincidentally the Canadian Car of the Year. Also, we battle out some 2.0L turbo-fours from very different segments, including said Accord as well as the Kia Sportage and the Jaguar F-Pace 25t. Adi's about to set out to do a fuel economy challenge in the new 10-speed automatic Ford Expedition, and we whine and moan about the 575-horsepower BMW X5 M Black Fire Edition. It's fast and VERY cool, but there's something about it that we found very annoying. More banter about the X5 M and its competitors ensues.
