Synopsis

The Arts Report on CiTR brings you the latest and upcoming in local arts in Vancouver from a volunteer run team that likes to get weird! Based primarily in Vancouver, BC, your show hosts (Ashley and Jake) are on the airwaves on CiTR Radio 101.9FM, Wednesdays from 5-6pm. The Arts Report also uploads special broadcasts in the form of web podcasts on their Mixcloud (https://www.mixcloud.com/ArtsReport_CiTR/) and blog (http://www.citr.ca/radio/arts-report/). We start by chatting with Andrey Summers and Fiona Revill about their Brave New Play Rites show, mOXY, then chew the fat with Megan Fass and Alain Tahir regarding the Eternal Theatre Collective's production of Seven Minutes in Heaven. We close with a review of Arthur Holden's The Past, a technically-slanted interview with comedy duo Hip!Bang regarding their upcoming Just for Laughs debut, At Home, and close with a shoutout to the Growing Room feminist literary festival.

Burlesque C&W balladeer Shirley Gnome swings by to tell us about her coming Valentine's variety show at the Rickshaw, and we end with an up-to-date history of awkward February 14th double-features.
