Paul tells women how they should dress. They should dress according to the culture but also with modesty and discreetly. Not like a prostitute

Prayer is God's desire for men. Men must pray in every place. They must pray in submission to the Lord.

Paul was appointed to be a preacher of the truth and an apostle of the truth. He taught Gentiles about the truth and faith.

What is the truth? It is that there is one God and that Jesus is the mediator between God and Man. Jesus was the ransom that paid for our debt.

The reason we are to pray for all men is that it is good and acceptable to God and that He desires all men to be saved and know the truth.

Paul urges Timothy to pray for kings and all civil authority. These will produce tranquility and quietness without having to compromise their faith.

Paul urges Timothy to pray. He list four elements of prayer. Entreaties, prayers, petitions and thanksgivings.

Paul calls the name of two men that were false teachers. They were caused people to reject faith and a good conscience and to have their faith and good consciences shipwrecked. Turn them over to Satan

Paul tells Timothy about the strength of the prophesies that were given to him. They would help him fight for the faith and a good conscience

Paul tells Timothy about the King! He is eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God. He will receive honor and glory forever.

Do not let condemnation and guilt keep people from seeing the perfect patience of God in you.

This is a trustworthy statement, Jesus died for sinners. It needs to be full accepted.

Our past is past. Paul talks about what he did formerly. It was his past. Yet his past did not stop him because God had mercy and grace, God gave him faith and Love in Jesus.

The Lord strengthen or empowers us according to our faithfulness to Him. That empowerment places in the minsitry or service that the Lord has for us.

Paul defines the law and how it was intended to be used or who it is to be used on.

False teaching will make you unfruitful. It is fruitless discussions about the Law. False teachers do not understand the Law even though they teach with confidence.

Paul gives us three goals for teaching. Love from a pure heart, a good conscious, and a sincere faith.

Paul tells Timothy what to tell those who are teaching strange teachings. No myth, fable and studies in genealogies. These are distractions to your ministry.

Timothy is a true child in the faith. Paul encourages Timothy to remain and finish what he is called to do.

Why does Paul open a letter to a person he knows well with "I Paul and apostle"? Our calling is important. Our hope is in Jesus
