We do the work of God by grace. Paul labored in the grace of God. The grace of God enables all of us to work in God's kingdom.

The apostle Paul is amazed at the grace of God toward him. We must stay amazed at the grace of God in all our lives.

There were over 600 witnesses to the physical resurrection of Jesus. That would win any court case today. He is risen!

This is the most important teaching. Christ died for our sins, He was buried and rose again on the third day. Also this according to scripture.

Paul talks about the Gospel he preached. It was received by them, it is where and how they stand and it is how they were saved.

Paul summarizes the teachings of chapter 14. Desire to prophecy and do not forbid speaking tongues. But do all in order and properly.

Paul tells the prophets and those who think they are spiritual that if you do not recognize what I said I will not recognize you.

Paul uses his apostolic authority to tell the Corinthians the importance of what He has said.

Women in the church. Paul tells them to be quiet to bring order to the church service not to keep them from being used by God.

Paul gives guidelines for the use of the gift of prophecy. There should be 2 or 3 prophecies and they should be judged.

Here we see the regulation of the use of the gift of tongues and interpretation

When the church meets each person should come with something to give. Like a psalm, teaching, revelation, tongues and interpretation.

The whole church should not speak in tongues at onetime. Prophecy would be better. Prophecy will reach the unbeliever and the unlearned.

Paul quotes the prophet Isaiah who prophesied not only the day of Pentecost but also about the church today. Tongues can be a sign to an unbeliever if done in order.

Do not think or plan as a child. Plan like a mature person. Paul is talking to believers. They should have a plan or order in the church.

Paul thanks God that he speaks in tongues more than the Corinthians. But he says that in church I would rather teach in a language that could be understood.

We can and should bless God in the spirit. This is a form of giving thanks. The unbeliever will not be able to understand.

Paul is giving instruction to the church. This instruction is vital for us today. If you speak in tongue then pray to interpret.

When we speak in tongues we are like foreigners to those who do not understand. We should always do things to build up the church when in church.

When we are in the church we need to do things that build up the church. Tongues without interpretation does not do that.
