The Law kept us divided but our faith makes us united. It makes us equal before God. Man made laws still seek to divide us.

Paul teaches us our relationship with the Law after faith has come. We are no longer children needing a tutor or protection but we are sons of God.

Paul teaches us our relationship with the Law. In these verse it is before we came to faith. The Law kept us in custody, it surrounded us and was a tutor to us.

Jesus came so that we could have peace with God, He came for both parties. We were shut up under sin so that we could receive the promise by faith.

Why was the Law needed? It was needed because people were always breaking the covenant. Jesus became the mediator.

What is the purpose of the Law? Can the Law and the Covenant coincide with each other? Does the Law nullify the Covenant?

The covenant that has been made between God and Abraham and his seed cannot not be changed.

Jesus took the curse of our sins on the cross so we could live in the blessing of Abraham.

Great news! Christ bought us from the curse that the Law had placed on us. As believers we are not under the curse.

Because none of mankind has ever kept the Law they fall under the curse of the Law. It is impossible to be justified by the Law.

Paul again uses Old Testament scripture to show that Gentiles can come to God by faith. Those who do are Abraham's children.

Paul quotes from the Old testament. Abraham received righteousness because he believed what God said.

Paul asks the Galatians how they got started in their salvation. You cannot start salvation in the Spirit and finish it in the flesh

Paul tells us the Galatians were being deceived. Then he asks, How did you receive the Spirit. Everything spiritual thing that we receive is received by hearing and faith.

When a person tries to keep the law in order to have a relationship with God they nullify the grace of God.

We have been crucified so that we can live by faith in what Jesus has done for us.

We have died to the Law because the Law showed us our sin. Now we can live for God.

Paul is combating the teachings of the Judaizers. How can we be justified and still be sinners? No may it never be.

Doing the works of the law will never justify anyone. The way we are all justified, whether Jew or Gentile, is by believing in Jesus Christ.

Paul tells about his confrontation with Peter. He calls Peter a hypocrite because of the way he acted with the Gentiles. Paul did this openly.
