Paul makes one thing clear, he is not preaching circumcision for salvation. Paul realizes that the cross is the thing that makes legalistic people stumble.

Paul is confident that the Galatians will not accept another view. His confidence is in them because they are in the Lord. Those who teach legalism will bear their judgment.

Legalism hinders you from obeying the truth. It persuades you away from the call of God and it is a sin.

Because we are in Christ we have a hope of righteousness. What we do does not matter. What matters is that we have faith working through love.

If you put your trust in keeping the law you must keep the whole law and you are severed from Christ.

If you put your trust in the works of the law then you will loss the benefits of trusting Christ.

Do not allow the yoke of slavery to the law to take control of your life. You have been set free!

Paul uses the story of Genesis 21 to tell us we need to send the child of the slave woman away. In other words we need to send the slavery to the law away.

In these verses Paul talks about a Jerusalem above. This is where believers come from. They are free.

Paul uses an allegory to teach about the two covenants. He begins to describe those who are born form Mount Sinai are slaves.

Paul begins to teach on the two covenants. He asks a question, 'Do you understand the Law?'

The Apostle Paul says He is in labor pains over the believers in Galatia until Christ is formed in them.

Paul asks the Galatians, what has happened to you? They had lost their sense of blessing. Legalism cause people to change.

Paul asks the Galatians to be as he is, free from bondage. He also tells of the way they had accepted him as a messenger from the Lord.

Are you going back too knowing God by observing the times and rituals. Is you relationship with God based upon faith?

There is a difference between knowing about God and having a relationship with Him.

We are not longer under the control of sin. We now can make a choice. We are sons of God and not slaves to sin.

The Spirit of Christ is in our hearts crying out that we are sons of God. God is our Abba and Our heavenly Father.

When God sent His Son to redeem us that all changed. We were all adopted as sons into the promises of God.

Paul is speaking primarily to the Jewish people. They were children with a promise of being an heir but could not experience.
