We should not get mixed up with a person who is lazy. Keep treating as a brother who will admonish. This is a command of the Apostle Paul..

A person who is lazy and refuses to work, we must command them to work. That was Paul's command to the church. Those who are working, do not grow weary in doing good and giving to those who cannot work,

If you refuse to work you do not eat. The people that refuse to work when they are able start telling other people how to live their lives.

Paul and his team did not take advantage of the people. They paid their own way not because they did not desire it but so they would not be a burden.

Paul uses himself and his team as examples of good work ethic. Paul and his team were not lazy.

Paul discipline the church for not having a biblical work ethic. Paul commands them with authority to stay away from lazy brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Paul prepares the church for discipline. He wants Jesus to guide their heart to the love of God and the steadfastness of Christ. That is the key to discipline.

Paul has confidence in the Lord that the church that they are doing and will continue to do what he had told them.

The Lord is faithful! This is a powerful truth. He will strengthen us and protect us from the evil one.

Paul asks for prayer. His prayer request is that the word of the Lord would spread rapidly and that he would be rescued from evil men.

Paul speaks a blessing over the church at Thessalonica and over us as we follow the Lord. It is that God will strengthen and comfort our hearts as we work and spread His Word.

Paul tells us that we need to stand firm and hold on to the truth that is taught in his writings. To stand firm means to continue on and to hold tight means seize.

As believer we receive the glory of God. Our spirits are filled with His glory now. Our souls and body will be completely filled when He comes to take the church away.

Salvation comes as the Holy Spirit makes them clean and they receive salvation by faith.

Paul is thankful for the faithful church in Thessalonica. They are part of God's family and because of that they are receiving salvation. The total and complete salvation of their spirit, soul and body.

People will believe what is false so that God can judge them for their rejection of the truth. They chose the pleasure of wickedness over the truth.

God is going to send a influence upon those who have rejected the truth. This will cause them to believe what is false.

The anti-christ will use the lies or deceit of wickedness to deceive people. They will be deceive because they refuse to love the truth.

The anti-christ will come with power, signs and amazing displays. He will get hus eneregy from Satan.

The lawless one will be shown after the church is gone. Jesus will come back at His coming and slay him with His words and bring an end to him and his lawlessness.
