An overseer cannot be a new convert. This will lead to arrogance and that will lead to condemnation when they fall.

An overseer needs to be free from a an affection to money. They must manage their households and small children well. If they cannot do this they should not lead in the church.

An overseer cannot be a bully but must be gentle and peaceable.

An elder must act in a loving way towards strangers. He must be able to teach. Much of leading is teaching. He must not need alcohol to function.

An elder needs a balance life. He also needs to be in control of his emotions, mind and feelings. An elder needs also to be a person of order.

There should be no place in an elder's life to hang an accusation, they should be blameless. A elder should not be in an adulterous relationship.

Instruction about how a leader in the church are important to all believers. This is what we should see in those who lead us.

Because of a woman we have a Savior. Salvation comes to all of us if we receive God's love in faith and them live a holy life.

God's order does not mean one place is better then the other. It is an order that will benefit all parts of home and church.

In New Testament days, teaching was done mostly in an intimate way. That is why women should not teach men. Women should also follow the order that God has established.

Christian women should receive teaching quietly. This can mean several things. They should receive it in peace without fear.

Christian women should dress themselves with good works. They should not be like the temple prostitutes that dress to draw attention to their bodies.

Christian women should not dress in a provocative way. They should dress properly, modestly and discreetly.

We should pray and worship in every place. There are two things that hinder us, wrath or out of control anger and arguments.

Some people are appointed to lead. Paul was appointed to preach, be an apostle and to teach the Gentiles faith and truth.

Jesus our mediator gave Himself as a ransomed or payment for us. He made that testimony at the right time in history.

There is one God, one mediator that makes peace between God and man. That mediator is Jesus who lived as a man in this world and was also God.

When we pray for others including those in places of civil authority it is good to God and He welcomes those prayers. God wants all men to be saved and to know the truth.

We should prayer using the 4 types of prayer for all men. We should also pray for those in governmental authority so we can have a good life.

There are 4 types of prayer. They are asking for needs to be met, communion with God, hot and fiery requests and thanksgiving.
