The word of knowledge, what is it? The word of knowledge is just a word or phrase. It is not all of God's knowledge. It is a supernaturally shared portion of God's knowledge about a certain situation at a certain time.

The word of wisdom, what is this gift? It is when a word or phrase of God's wisdom that is given to you supernaturally. It is not all of God's wisdom. It is given at a moment for a special situation.

One way to test a gift is to see if it has a good effect on people The gifts are given for good and not bad. Every Christian can operate in the gifts of the Spirit. The gifts can and should operate outside the church. Are you expecting them today?

There are many different ways that the gifts of the Spirit effect people. Some people may cry others may laugh but it is the same gift. Do not judge a gift by the way it effects people.

There are many different ways that the gifts can operate. We should never judge a gift by the way it is manifested. God is the God of variety. It is the same Lord.

There are different varieties of gifts. These can be broke down into the verbal gifts, the power gifts and the revelation gifts. They all come from the spirit.

How do we know if what is being said or done is from the Holy Spirit? What does it say about Jesus? Does it minimize what was done at the cross? Does it speak of the Lordship of Jesus?

The manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Paul begins to teach on the subject of the spiritual gifts. He does not want the Corinthian church to be ignorant of these gifts.

Paul gives the Corinthians some practical instruction. Wait to eat until everyone is there. If you cannot wait stay home and eat.

The way we can keep ourselves from judgment is by judging or examining ourselves before we take the Lord's Supper. We must examine ourselves rightly. That means we look into the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit show us what needs to change.

Every believer must examine themselves before they partake of the Lord's Supper It is a command past down from Christ to the Apostle Paul. If we partake in an unworthy or irreverent manner judgment will come. Many are weak, sick and some are dead.

What does Paul mean when he says, "in an unworthy manner”? Paul is talking about the attitude that we partake of the Lord's Supper in. An unworthy manner means an irreverent manner.

The Passover or Lord's Supper is not just a tradition. It is a proclamation of the covenant that you have made with Christ and His Body!

The cup that Jesus blessed and gave thanks for represented the new covenant in His Blood. From that night the Passover would never be the same.

The bread that was broken represents Christ's body. Physically, as a sacrifice for sin and spiritually His Body the church.

Jesus taught Paul the significance of the Lord's Supper. Why was that night described here as the night Jesus was betrayed? Why did Jesus take the bread first?

Paul is teaching on the Lord's supper. Paul tells the Corinthians that spirituality is not determined by what you have. It is determine by how you fix value or honor the poor.

Paul begins to teach on the Lord's Supper. When the church comes together it is for the Lord's Supper. The Lord's Supper represents fellowship. Fellowship with the Lord and also fellowship with the Body of Christ.

We should not argue over traditions. Paul says there is divisions in the Corinthian church. Those divisions came from factions or heresy.

Paul addresses the tradition of the length of a person's hair. What is long hair? In Paul's time a man's hair was shoulder length. Long hair was considered a to be sign of rebellion. Long hair on a man was waist length. A woman’s hair is her glory. To many in Corinth long hair on a women told you she was married. This was her glory.
