Morning Manna

1 John 4:19 says; “We love Him because He first loved us.” Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Don't you love the words Grace and Mercy? Grace is God giving what we don't deserve and mercy is God not giving us what we do deserve. Psalm 136:1 says this... “Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Luke 11:9–10 says; “And I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” What are your asks, seeks and knocks today? Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Psalm 8:1-2 says this - "I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High." What will you do today?

In Deuteronomy 26:17–18 we read this; “Today you have proclaimed the LORD to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will obey His voice. Also today the LORD has proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep all His commandments." This was the second generation of Israel after their leaving Egypt. As they entered into the Promise Land, they renewed their commitment to God. Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

In today's episode I share from Jeremiah 12:5-8. It explains the difference between trusting in man or trusting in God. Who are you trusting in today?

Romans 12:12 says this - Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer." Let's let that be our mission today!

Enjoy a reading of Psalm 145 this morning. I love verse 14 that says; The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all who are bowed down. If you're in a fall or are bowed down today. I'm praying for you. God's got you!

Ecclesiastes 7:5 says this - "It is better to hear the rebuke of the wise than for a man to hear the song of fools." The song fools, while perhaps enjoyable at time, is actually fools gold... not real gold. Thank God for the rebuke of a wise person. Let's keep our ears open for that today.

Galatians 2:20 says; "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” What does that truth mean to you and I today. I love what Paul says in Phillipians 4:11-2 - "Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.” Let's talk about it on today's Morning Manna.

Colossians 3:1–3 says this; “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” May today our focus be on things above. Look up my friends!

We had a great high school wrestling team in our high school. I alway enjoyed watching those matches in the gym. We also are wrestlers - Ephesians 6:12–13: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Have you ever got candy from a Pez dispenser? I'll share something about the history of that on today's episode, but I want us to be Pez dispensers today. Ephesians 4:29 says; "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."

Psalm 18:28 says; "You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light." While we see a lot of darkness in our world today, be encouraged that God can turn the darkness into light!

I start everyday by turning off my alarm, sitting on the edge of my bad and say this... "This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it." - Psalm 118:24. Let's talk about "Today."
