Mario's Minute

Harcroft joins in for this month's Mario's Minute in an original Xbox focused episode! We talk about his personal Title Update and DLC archiving projects, new projects such as XCAT, and a big delve into the OXHD which aims to be an open source solution to install internal HDMI output on an original Xbox.

A bit of a shorter solo episode this month, but mostly gaming related! Talking about some personal StreetPass memories at the thought of it being over 13 years old, a dog story related to a bowl of stolen salmon, and uncovering an old story that I thought back to related to a game store employee trying to downplay a remake of Final Fantasy VII.

Going solo for this episode of Mario's Minute in which I talk about Funimation's fold into Crunchyroll removing "forever" digital copies of content that people own, winning a case on eBay as a seller, and theorizing whether or not the new PlayStation and Xbox consoles should have been delayed by a year.

For 2023's final episode of Mario's Minute, we're talking about old mods, new mods, new content removals, and false antivirus accusations! Talking a bit about getting PMEX set up for my younger brothers, the entire process of importing Minecraft worlds into Minecraft Bedrock, Discovery content being removed from PlayStation platforms, and finally the personal offense I took to being accused of installing McAfee on a clean Windows machine!

Joining up for this year's final guest on Mario's Minute is NickMoses05, a fellow content creator who has been in the world of modding for a while now! We've both followed each other's content for several years at this point and finally got to link up for an episode discussing everything from travel, food, GERMS, phone addiction, and an exclusive story told by Nick about how he damaged his childhood NES.

Talking about everything from beefing over a fat cat, to Mortal Kombat 1 on Switch, the PS5 Slim announcement, and regrets selling old game consoles. Pepper in some old game store stories and we've got ourselves another solo episode of Mario's Minute! Hope you all enjoy.

Over five years of Mario's Minute episodes, but over ten years of Grand Theft Auto V! We talk about that a bit on this solo episode, alongside a leak of a digital only Xbox Series X refresh model, my first soldering experiences up to my first successful one, and some game store stories all centered around one particular individual.

Another solo episode this month, but here to talk about the Call of Duty games (and more!) being fixed up on the Xbox 360, which was a surprise to many. Some stories involving anime, trash, toilet paper, and shared high school WiFi. Finally, talking about games I've played recently including a rant about how bad Turok (2008) was.

A solo episode for this month's Mario's Minute covering comments, cleaner, and a massive digitizing project! First I talk about being noticed for Jet Moto 2 of all things, followed by a rant about staying far away from MX Cleaner due to the massive stink it generates. Industrial style soldering irons are discussed at length, to determine whether or not these are really needed for many console mods out there? Finally, I also talk about my ups and downs completing a multi-year long VHS digitizing project I wanted to tackle.

This month features the console modding Wiki master Derf joining us for a couple hours to chat! We talk about the Wiki projects he's worked on, the downfall of forum/message board culture, mixed in with a bit of preservation talk. We had to touch up quite bit on Xbox 360 modding talk, and also talked about our preferences for retro gaming depending on consoles, displays, and some emulation!

First episode of 2023! For this episode I do a bit of a retrospective with Mario's Minute now being over five years old. I also do a bit of a state of things on the channel, and I spend a good chunk of time talking about console modding. A troubleshooting story with an odd culprit, as well as what I believe seems to separate some of the best and worst customers.

We spent almost three hours talking about the ModzvilleUSA origin story, and of course PLENTY of modding. Lots of Xbox 360 RGH talk, experiences with the original Xbox, the art of PS2 installs, Famicom Disk System games, and much more!

A bit of a run-in with a Karen at the local Post Office. Also, more game store stories from my days of working at a game shop!

A laptop filled episode of Mario's Minute this month! The first one being a throwback to nearly ten years ago when Asus required me to get a diagnosis on my old laptop from Best Buy's Geek Squad, to which they blamed a WiFi board defect on... GoogleUpdate.exe? I also share some more adventures in the world of laptop upgrades, as I worked on a laptop upgrade and another laptop revival for my girlfriend. Some potential wedding crashers get reported on, as well as the routine sharing of a game store story and which games I've been playing recently.

We talk about our background over how we know each other, as well as his Xbox hardware collecting tendencies.
