Back for a SPECIAL episode, we discuss the global hit series on Netflix, "Squid Game". We go over the characters, games, and psychological distress these individuals go through.

Now that things have the potential of going back to normal, the theaters will be opening back up, which means there are going to be a lot of summer films that are going to be watched. We discuss the trailers that have been released and discuss whether we would give the film or tv series a green, yellow, or red light as far as watching it.

We review the new Mortal Kombat movie, currently out in theaters and available on HBO, and the 1995 version. We speak briefly of growing up playing the game on SNES and N64. We know this is not an Academy Award worthy movie, but we take it for what it is. We point out the good, the bad, and the cringy.

We review the final episode of season 1 of Disney+'s Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Sam Wilson has become the new Captain America. We discuss our excitement over this, on top of our level of satisfaction for Bucky's "ending", and our thoughts of Sam's surprise to Isaiah.

Allow us to entertain you with our hot mess. It's Cinco de Mayo, so we decided to talk *briefly* about American films that put some focus on Mexican culture, but to be honest, we *mostly* talk about our problematic and complicated relationship with our culture. Join us as we ramble about our issues. You've been warned.

As we get near the finale of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, we discuss what this show has been hinting at finally explicitly saying: this show is about race. The topic of white privilege comes up as well as our original thoughts about who Steve should have picked to continue his legacy. Join us three geeks as we dive into one of our favorite new shows.

We talk about Netflix's new documentary that follows British filmmaker, Ali Tabrizi, as he travels down a dirty world surrounding overfishing. In this episode, we discuss the rabbit hole Tabrizi takes us through.

We review DisneyPlus' Falcon and the Winter Soldier episodes 3 and 4. We speak about the themes surrounding the episode: racism, supremacy, and power hunger. We also discuss the relationship between Bucky and the Dora Milaje and parallels between John Walker and the two former leaders of the Avengers.

While we may not have grown up as Britney fans, we go over New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears documentary that takes focus on one of the biggest pop stars in the beginning of the 21st century. We discuss her popularity, her publicized breakdown in 2007, and her conservatorship that is still currently being overseen by her father, Jamie Spears.

We review Disney+'s second television series of the MCU, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The two titled characters might both be best friends with Steve Rogers, but that might be one of the few things they have in common. We dive into the exploration the show is taking with Bucky's traumatic past and Sam's racist barriers. Oh and we also discuss He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

We review Hulu's documentary that centers around 90s child actor, Soleil Moon Frye, who starred as the titled character on the hit tv show in the 80s, Punky Brewster. We discuss certain topics in the documentary, such as the the price child stars must pay when it comes to fame, underage drinking, and teen suicide. We also go down memory lane of the 90s as we also dive into how we empathize and can relate to Frye's body insecurities when she was a young girl.

Reviewing Netflix's docuseries, "Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel" where it follows the case of Canadian college student, Elisa Lam, in February 2013. We go over how her body was found in Hotel Cecil's water tank, the infamous elevator scene footage released by the LAPD, and the conspiracy theories surrounding her disappearance.

Join us as we dive in and explore the finale of WandaVision. We discuss the topics of grief and mental health on the show, bring up the disappointments of some fans over the finale, theories as to what will occur next with some of the characters, and who the true villain in the show is.

Join us as we review Netflix's documentary "Nightstalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer". We discuss Richard Ramirez's upsetting history, if a person is born a killer or if he is made, and people's fascination towards true crime.

First off, WELCOME BACK to another season of Geegkly Distraction. Season 7 is looking to be somewhat crazy. This episode was recorded in early December and was meant to be out for Christmas but somebody got obsessed with some K-pop drama something or other on Netflix and it's finally coming out now.
