Overtime With Cleon Wall

Just as BYU and Utah head to college basketball's postseason, Cleon takes a look back at their match-up in December as part of his four part documentary of the Cougar's four in-state games.   This game had a lot of intensity after Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak canceled the 2016 match-up.  The Utes may have come away with the victory if it weren't for Elijah Bryant, Payton Dastrup and the passionate Cougar fans. Cleon continues to give listeners an inside look (and listen) back at BYU's in-state games and how they helped to shape the 2017-18 Cougar basketball team.  It had been three years since BYU had traveled to play Utah State in Logan.  The students were ready, but the two teams were not.  In the end, this could be the game that started the legend of Elijah Bryant. Cleon Wall gives you an inside look at how he put his in-depth story together on the Utah Jazz playing in the NBA postseason for the first time in five years.  He decided to focus on the Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward who were a couple of the guys that played on the last Jazz squad that made it into the post season.  Let's just say neither guy really wanted to remember the experience and looks forward to their series with the Los Angeles Clippers.

What's it like when dreams are dashed?  When life doesn't turn out like you thought it would?  Cleon Wall interviews Cougar basketball forward Kyle Davis about forfeiting the rest of his basketball season due to a knee injury and how he was able to overcome the the depressing news that he would never play college basketball again.

Cleon Wall and Randolph Fairbairn chat right after #1 Gonzaga beat BYU in Provo 85-75.  The guys talk about Eric Mika's struggles, TJ Haws hot shooting and how impressed they were with the Zags.

Cleon finally returns (he's been really busy with BYU Basketball) with Deseret News Jazz beat reporter Jody Genessy.  They talk about Gordon Hayward making the All-Star team while Rudy Gobert was snubbed.  They also get into Jody's' body transformation and how he became the Jazz beat writer.
