Believed to have been written in 1610–1611, The Tempest is thought to be Shakespeare’s last play, and his most original. In this romantic and magical comedy, a ship is wrecked on an island that is home to the wizard Prospero and his daughter Miranda, the native, Caliban and the spirit, Ariel. The play is about the fate of Prospero and his daughter.
