    19/08/2019 Duration: 01h06min

Jeff and Dana Charatan, PsyD have a conversation about about modern psychoanalysis and how it's changed since Freud and his buddies invented it. I ask Dana if clients still lay down on the couch while the analyst faces away from them. And if other therapies can make faster change, why spend so much time focusing on insight instead of fixing problematic behaviors? We talk about how social justice and cultural competency issues need to be more integrated into analysis. We discuss when analysis is a good fit for clients, why they're so obsessed with transference and so much more. Find a therapist at https://www.therapyden.com
