  • #44 - 3 Times That India was glued to the TV

    14/08/2019 Duration: 23min

For episode 44, I discuss my personal perspective from my memory of the times that everywhere I went, everybody was watching the TV. It is an exercise in nostalgia for me and the grander perspective I'm trying to get at is how your brain can categorise information. I won't spoil which incidents I saw people watching constantly on the Television, but I hope it's interesting for you guys. the bad n bollywood episode I did with Yashasvi Shukla and Karan Mirchandani: https://open.spotify.com/episode/5gwFBCZIWfL5oQUfKmPkhN?si=wXRYa5xITh2Qnn7wrn56Mw Support me on patreon!  https://www.patreon.com/deepfriedneurons Follow me on social media  www.instagram.com/deepfriedneurons  https://www.facebook.com/DeepFriedNeurons/

  • #43 - Pleading a Lesser Sentence For Being an Incompetent Murderer

    05/08/2019 Duration: 11min

For Episode 43 of Deep Fried Neurons, I'm going to discuss the case of R. V Khandu and how the convict got 3 lesser charges but did not get convicted for murder. This is either dumb luck or getting stuck in technicalities of the law, but is hilarious to me is why I needed to share it with you guys. Hopefully you were mildly interested in this too. • #42 - Santosh Mane and The Bus Mass Killing

    22/07/2019 Duration: 15min

Santosh Mane and the events of January 25, 2012 were so shocking and obscure, that they left a mark in the memory of the City of Pune. For this episode, we follow the facts of the case and the trial and the big question of why in this case. Also, I wanted to cover this is because I think about this story a lot. • #41 - The Post Human

    15/07/2019 Duration: 14min

At some point in given time, We (Homo Sapiens) will be so dependent on technology and the syncopation of the man and machine will reach a point where the machine is a direct physical extension or even be the existence of the human. I just sat and thought about that for a while and concluded that it was cool, so I made this episode. • #40 - My Running In With Diogenes Of Sinope

    08/07/2019 Duration: 19min

For Episode 40 of the Deep Fried Neurons podcast, I talk at length about the 1st cynic that was known to civilization, and his contribution to the conversation of philosophy. I also talk about meeting two different mentally ill men in my childhood, who were known to ramble on in the middle of the street until their family found them and took them home. Both these men were just memories in the back of my brain and were mostly inconsequential to my being for the last decade. UNTIL I saw the parallels between the two men and Diogenes in their action and thought; and it blew my mind. It also helped me think about how society, specially small ones, deal with psychological illness and how that hasn't change the light. but the more important question that I managed to work my way around is, that "Is Diogenes still out there looking for the good men?" • #39 - Talking About The Truth

    30/06/2019 Duration: 11min

For Episode 39 of the podcast, I talk about one of my biggest philosophical nightmares - the truth. I shared a bunch of I N T E L L E C T U A L memes and now I think I'm qualified to talk about it. In this episode, I trail off and talk about how the pursuit of truth is one of the key conflicts in human civilization; hence I thought it's difficulty in certain perception would interest my listeners. • #38 - MH17

    23/06/2019 Duration: 13min

For episode 38, I cover the happenings surrounding the crash of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17, which was shot down while on it's way from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. It is clear that this passenger flight was shot down for flying over conflicted territory in Eastern Ukraine, but this proves to be completely against international law. Multiple Governments have covered this story and have come up with  a lot of different conclusions, some of which suit some of their own larger Ambitions, and No court could take jurisdiction on the crime. • #37 - Sudan

    16/06/2019 Duration: 11min

Sorry for this tiny gap in the stream of episodes, but I hope you understand why I might I have made this episode. • #36 - Amor Fati, Neitzsche and Psychedelics (ft. Dheeraj Shah)

    09/06/2019 Duration: 58min

For Episode 36, I sat down with Dheeraj, a good friend and a fellow person of culture to discuss one of the most mind numbingly paradoxical views on self-improvement. We also let the conversation trail off and just talk about whatever we want; which is why this episode is so long. However, it does provide some tea on why an unrealistic ideal is a constant theme in human civilization. • #35 - The Urban Legend of Psycho Raman

    03/06/2019 Duration: 08min

For episode 35 of the deep fried neurons podcast, we visit the Terror of Bludgeonings that clouded The City Of Mumbai (Then Bombay) in the late 1960s. Raman Raghav or Psycho Raman was a unique case of a murderer who's terror gripped the city like no other. The stories of dread and gore transcended the human nature of the story eventually and just became a legend about a crazy man talking to god and killing people at his command. BTW; I know the episode is a little late, but that's becuase I had my exams. • #34 - Utility Doesn't Justify Crime (Power Dynamics in the Sexes)

    26/05/2019 Duration: 20min

For Episode 34 of the podcast, I visit one of the most interesting takes on the politics of sex and try to understand where we ended up in the shape of the society that we have, and why feminism is relevant in the current times, and my version of understanding an idealish society. I think this was pretty dumb because it sounded like a collection of facts when I was cleaning the audio. I might have read some Foucault before I recorded this Follow me on social media: https://www.facebook.com/DeepFriedNeurons/ https://www.instagram.com/deepfriedneurons/ support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/deepfriedneurons

  • #33 - Free Speech Has no Friends (Priyanka Sharma and The Meme)

    19/05/2019 Duration: 11min

This Episode is just me ranting about a really sad event in Indian history. It's the story of a pattern of behavior of the Indian supreme court to censor speech in the name of their moral interpretations, over stepping the constitutional role given to them of the interpreter of laws. After reading about it for two weeks, I thought I should talk about it. As of the release of the episode, Priyanka Sharma, the woman in question has been released after alleged harassment by the police and a forced signed statement. I speak in the Indian context in this episode, but I would be very happy to bring you other instances of mass censorship and moral policing by the government over the course of history. • #32 - Fyodor Dostoyevsky

    12/05/2019 Duration: 26min

For Episode 32, I summarized and gave my interpretations for the most twisted christian stories that I ever came across that were told through an existentialist lens. Fyodor Dostoyevsky is one of the greatest Literary geniuses to come out of Russia, and to me has been one of the most important reads for personality building. This twisted argument for a life structured by religion makes just as much sense as it drives me away from it. I go through The Brothers Karamazov, Crime and Punishment and The Idiot as the more to less religious novels written by Dostoyevsky and understand his take on Life, idealism, forgiveness, and appreciation of existing. Book wise stamps: The Brother's Karamazov - 4:15 Crime And Punishment - 11:32 The Idiot - 18:45 Notes From The Underground - 22:25 Episodes on Philosophers/Authors mentioned: #6 - God Is Dead ( https://anchor.fm/deep-fried-neurons-podcast/episodes/6---God-Is-Dead-e3qogn ) #14 - Daddy Issues (Franz Kafka) ( https://anchor.fm/deep-fried-neurons-podcast/episodes/

  • #31 - Freak Coincidences of The Grand Paradi Towers [Urban Legend]

    05/05/2019 Duration: 15min

Episode 31 of the podcast brings light to the case of 9 serial suicides in a prominent residential area of Mumbai. The Locals of this area, despite most of of them being otherwise educated and rational people, were very assertive on insisting that something paranormal at play. I just discuss the facts of the place, and give my opinion on the same. 28/04/2019 Duration: 31min

For Episode 30 of the Deep Fried Neurons Podcast, I sat down with Dr. Vasudev Menon, a professor of Biology and Drama at Symbiosis School of Liberal Arts to explore the issue of anti-biotics in the chicken sold commercially in the cities of India. We talk broadly about the wide spread administration of Colistin in Poultry Farms, and it's grim far reaching effects on our bodies and public health. Besides that, Vasudev talks about English theatre in Pune and his latest production of Henry Ibsen's "Ghosts" coming to a Venue near soon. 23/04/2019 Duration: 08min

Since I was binging Bill Burr on Netflix over the week and I am struggling to find things for this podcast; Enjoy a story about a strange relation between me having almost comical surreal dreams after watching his specials. I listen to his podcast all the time, but only watching the specials triggers these dreams and I thought it was mildly interesting at least.
