For Episode 29,  I visited a story from the longest Epic ever written in human history - Mahabharata. We look at the death of Bhishma, a General in the Kuru army who's life in itself was the reason for a 200,000 verse long poem; and how it cemented a place for the Gender Non-conformists in the Hindu culture. We look at this story as the reason for Koovagam festival, a festival of the transgender community that happens in Tamil Nadu, and also because it has been cited as the reason for the recognition of the 3rd gender in India. While I know that I don't do this kind of content, it bugged me enough to get me talking about it on the interwebs. everyone knows Pewdiepie as the biggest content creator on YouTube with almost 94 million subscribers on his channel as of this recording.  The twist in the tale is, that he's deemed a white nationalist and racist all across the internet by different groups of people because of the conversation about him in the "traditional media". For Episode 24 of the Podcast, we take a fairly deep dive on one of the most controversial political figures to ever exist in India. Phoolan Devi was the Member Of Parilament twice for Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. Besides that, she also became a face of resistance against oppression of women and the lower castes during her time of operation. Episode 21 of the podcast deals with the worlds most heavily militarized area in the world. Kashmir is a heavenly place that has been plagued with conflict for the last 70 years. In this episode, We dissect what is the source of conflict and which side wants what; along with me going over why I think what is best for Kashmir. Episode 20 of the Deep Fried Neurons Podcast talks about 4 nursery rhymes and their twisted and dark origins in history. From the Bubonic Plague to the Murderous Monarchs of the 16th century, this episode breaks down the words to understand the hidden memories of violence and death.

Episode 19 of the Podcast went a little topical. I found a news piece so interesting that I couldn't help but move the episode I was working on forward and make an episode on the said story. Raphael Samuel gained a lot of attention and raised a lot of eyebrows when he announced that he is going to sue his parents for giving him birth without his consent. This leads to a conversation about Anti-natalism and Parenthood, and I wanted to cover the historical ground of the philosophical concept and give my opinion on the issue.

For Episode 18, I just talked a while about information, censorship and the power dynamic around the same. While I am against censorship and truly believe that information should be as free and accessible as it can be, I don't particularly know how to deal with the chaotic consequences of the same. In Episode 17, we revisit the Joshi - Abhyankar murders of 1976; that shocked Suburban Pune to its core. The 10 murders that took place over the course of 15 months in Erandwane part of Pune launched a citywide panic and investigation that inspired urban legends in the area and feature-length movies in the following decade.
