In this episode, five students of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (Pascalle, Jette, Justine, Clara, and Tara) share their months-long research conducted as part of their Marble Research Based Learning Project. Free Palestine Maastricht is joining the Student Radio to announce Palestine Solidarity Week this May to commemorate 75 years of occupation in Palestine! We discussed the events starting this Friday, the recent local victory in Liège to boycott the Israeli occupation, and the myth of "Israel making the desert bloom" recently used by European Commissioner Ursula von der Leyen. Democratic deficit in the European Union refers to the perceived lack of accountability, transparency, and democracy in the decision-making processes of the EU institutions.
