Episodes

  • Episode 47 – Cover Up, Pilot

    15/04/2019 Duration: 01h20min

This week we check out the short-lived 1984 TV show Cover Up. We wanted to check it out because of the tragic story of the co-star Jon-Erik Hexum's death on set and to see if the show could have lasted longer if he had lived. We both enjoyed it, but the pilot was a little stiff, so we'll have to check out more episodes to make a final determination. Either way, we both think Jon-Erik Hexum would have been a big star. Mike S. also talks a bit about Shazam! since he saw it last week. He liked it okay, but wasn't blown away. • Episode 34 – Knight Rider: Silent Knight

    14/12/2018 Duration: 51min

Michael Knight is back! This time he helps some kid who has bank robbers chasing him because he stole a watch from them that they stole from a banker. Got it? It seems nobody really likes the kid, even his family, because they sell him out to the robbers multiple times.  And occasionally someone says it's Christmas so you don't forget this is a Christmas episode. (I still say it is not -- Mike F.) But still, any show that has KITT jumping stuff and trying to figure out the meaning of Christmas can't be all bad.   Questions? Comments? To make matters worse, they are framed by Boss Hogg to make it looks like the Duke boys just stole the money. Pull up a seat at the ping pong table and have a listen! Questions? Comments? Email us at mikes@iusedtowatchthis.com or mikef@iusedtowatchthis.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/iused2watchthis

  • Episode 29 – Speed Racer, The Great Plan

    02/11/2018 Duration: 53min

Our first animated show! We go back a little farther in time to try to catch up with Speed Racer and his friends, and the powerful Mach 5, of course. Speed is a born racer but his dad won't let him race, probably because we see many drivers die in this episode alone. Pops Racer has designed a powerful new engine, quits his job and almost has his plans for the new engine stolen. Speed joins a race to win money so his dad can build his prototype. And, as often is the case, some bad guys get in the race and try to steal the Mach 5 and murder everyone else in the race. What a great show for kids! Listen to find out how it all goes down!   Questions? Comments? Email us at mikes@iusedtowatchthis.com or mikef@iusedtowatchthis.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/iused2watchthis

  • Episode 28 – The Greatest American Hero, The Beast in the Black

    30/10/2018 Duration: 48min

Since it is almost Halloween we are talking about a special episode of The Greatest American Hero. In this episode Ralph and his students are due to clean out a spooky house to sell the items inside for a class gift. But, it turns out the house is haunted, or something weird. Ralph walks into another dimension in the house, gets beaten up, and Bill is possessed by a realtor. Just listen, it makes a little more sense. I think. Thanks to Johny Cisco for the recommendation on this episode. Note: This post disappeared for a day or two, we blame The Beast in the Black.
