The Legion Outriders: A Star Wars Legion Podcast

We discuss what units and mechanics we anticipate from the upcoming Clone Wars factions, John curses his defense dice despite a victory, and we are joined by LJ Pena, Table Top Simulator Invader tournament organizer, to talk about how TTS is helping to shape the meta.  

After the first major tournament featuring Star Wars Legion, we chat with GenCon Day 1 Winner, Nick Freeman. John's back and we let him geek out about wookies, and Josh reveals his dirty secret.  

Well, the GenCon In-Flight report did not disappoint at all.  The Outriders take a look at all the goodness announced in Indianapolis, from Wookies of all types to the newly announced Specialists and what might be the biggest news about the future of the game.  

The guys explore the Priority Supplies mission cards, the Rules Update 1.1, and discuss how the NOVA rules can impact the Legion Tournament scene.

Reunited and it feels so good! The guys are back with a vengeance...talking about all the big news for Emperor Palpatine, his Imperial Royal Guard, and the latest news on Han Solo!  

We're joined by a very special guest: Nick Freeman of the Impact X Blog. This guy has been crunching the numbers so we don't have to, and he lets us know what units are giving you the most bang for your buck. Matt is done with his timeout, so we let him on the mic to talk about the biggest release Legion has seen thus far: barricades. We also discuss the future of Legion and what dynamics can add variety and shake up the trooper-spam meta.  

The guys recap our latest local tournament, John talks about a surprising MVP unit that has outperformed his expectations, and they break down the new FFG rules forum, and how that might shape the way we officiate competitive play. FFG brought out the big guns today! The guys break down the rules on the Rebel 1.4 FD Laser Cannon Team and the Imperial E-Web Heavy Blaster Team, talk about how to use them effectively, and debate which one is better. We also talk a bit about Kelly Marie Tran's departure from Social Media and how to set up an Escalation League in your area.  

The guys start the episode discussing Escalation Play, how to get started with airbrushing, and what impact Leia is making on the meta. If you haven't seen Solo, stop there and go see it. The last half we talk Solo: was it good, is it a box office flop, and what units might make their way to Star Wars Legion.

The guys settle the argument of who will be the better Empire Commander: Vader or Veers, they take a look at how to win the game before Turn 1, and finally, debate whether Therm Scissorpunch is a great name or the GREATEST name.
