There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ! This is proven true by the work of the Spirit who gives us true life by setting us free from sin and death, helping us to live obedient lives, changing our nature, battling with us to overcome sin, and securing our adoption as children of God.

In life, we fight against sin and selfishness. Why should we keep fighting? Who is to blame for this fight? What does it mean that we are in this fight? Paul continues to set up the universal need for divine rescue by revealing that even the religious and moral person falls short of the law of God.
