  • The Lost Art of Managers: Where Have They All Gone? - Episode 28

    18/09/2018 Duration: 01h24min

In this week's episode, without the in-depth analysis of Peach, we celebrate Paul Heyman's recent birthday and the rumor that Vince McMahon is planning on using more managers by taking a deeper look into its missing role recently in professional wrestling. We went to social media asking the question, "If you could match up any manager in the history of wrestling (current managers included) with a group of any four members of the current WWE/205 Live/NXT/NXT UK roster, who would they be and why?". Which led us to discuss some of the responses that we received as well as give our answers. Also, we got off topic plenty of times by mostly discussing stables and the Hell In A Cell PPV, which we were watching during the recording. Don't forget to subscribe to us for all future episodes! • Non-Wrestling Fans: Matches to Pique Their Interest - Episode 27

    11/09/2018 Duration: 01h30min

In this week's episode, we follow the hype surrounding ALL IN with a somewhat intriguing topic of discussion. We decided to come up with our top matches to show a non-wrestling fan (or former wrestling fan) to pique their interest enough to have them cross over to the dark side. The initial idea was to have the person only see the pre-match video package, the match itself, and the post-match shenanigans without any added information and see what wrestling can be. We found ourselves going a bit off-topic and asked Peach what matches would get him interested in wrestling a bit more, as he is still a filthy casual, but it led to an engaging conversation. • ALL IN: A Look into Professional Wrestling‘s Future - Episode 26

    05/09/2018 Duration: 01h48min

In this week's episode, we discuss the results for the show funded by Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks, ALL IN. A night that was already a historic night for the independent wrestling scene before the ring of the first bell ended up being a night that was huge for the world of professional wrestling as a whole and we feel may be a glimpse into the future of the business. Although we never did get those ticket donations to see the show live in Chicago, we did still give our reactions of how we felt about each match from ALL IN, including a pre-show called Zero Hour and some of our favorite moments of the whole show. We also find out if Peach watched ALL IN and if so, how much of it did he watch!? Tune in to find out!   We apologize for the lack of audio quality when Respass speaks throughout the episode. His headset's microphone was accidentally used when recording instead of the microphone he typically uses. It is encouraged to leave negative comments about Respass instead of Walton this week due to this mis

  • Book It! The Card Game: An Interview with Paul LaPorte - Episode 25

    28/08/2018 Duration: 01h11min

In this week's episode, we had the pleasure of talking to the creator of "Book It! The Wrestling Promoter Card Game", Paul LaPorte. This game has been funded successfully on Kickstarter, is a few short months away from being released to its backers (which Respass is one of), and also available through retail. We talked to Paul about a wide array of things ranging from his inspirations for the game and how to play it to his experience on the independent wrestling scene, including his current positions with Truly Independent Wrestling (T.I.W.) based out of Lanesborough, MA. We also discuss the recent SummerSlam weekend events, the upcoming ALL IN, and the current wrestling product as a whole. Check out Book It! • SummerSlam 2018: The Reactions to the Weekend - Episode 24

    21/08/2018 Duration: 01h15min

In this week's episode, we attempted something different. We tried to give you the best live reactions to each SummerSlam match as we could by recording brief segments at the end of each one and then finishing things off with our overall feelings at the very end. Unfortunately, due to some technical difficulties, we did not get our NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 reactions in as well. We did, however, have a few fellow listeners in the background with us which they contributed about as much to the podcast as Peach has most weeks. • SummerSlam 2018: NXT’s Preview & Predictions - Episode 23.3

    15/08/2018 Duration: 01h04min

In this week's three-part episode, we discuss the fast-approaching SummerSlam weekend. Joined by returning guest from "The Opie and Friends Show" on YouTube, Jer Culver, for part three of this episode, we focus on the NXT matches included on NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4's card, as well as a short discussion to kick things off about New Japan Pro-Wrestling's G1 Climax. With the limited combined knowledge of Jer with recent NXT programming, Respass with the G1 Climax tournament, and Peach with wrestling in general, this had all the makings of a fun episode. We originally recorded this episode on August 12, 2018, before the go-home show for NXT for SummerSlam weekend. Planned matches, storylines, and angles are all subject to possible changes at the time of this recording. • SummerSlam 2018: SmackDown’s Preview & Predictions - Episode 23.2

    14/08/2018 Duration: 01h05min

In this week's three-part episode, we discuss the fast-approaching SummerSlam weekend. Joined by a returning guest from "We Podcast & We Know Things," Greg Hall, for part two of this episode, we focus on the SmackDown matches included on SummerSlam's card, as well as the Cruiserweight Championship match from 205 Live. Respass geeks out a bit on his knowledge of "We Podcast & We Know Things" episodes, and Greg is in awe of finally meeting the legend that is Peach. Also, there is a vague announcement about Apron Work Podcast's first-ever interview coming the week following the SummerSlam live reactions episode. We originally recorded this episode on August 12, 2018, before the go-home show for SmackDown for SummerSlam weekend. Planned matches, storylines, and angles are all subject to possible changes at the time of this recording. • SummerSlam 2018: Raw‘s Preview & Predictions - Episode 23.1

    13/08/2018 Duration: 01h02min

In this week's three-part episode, we discuss the fast-approaching SummerSlam weekend. Joined by returning guest Matt Ficco for part one of this episode, we focus on the Raw matches included on SummerSlam's card along with two more speculated to be additions to the card. Although this is the first part of the episode, this was the third part recorded for the day, and Peach was drinking through all of them, so buckle up for the type of belly laughs that only a Walton and Peach argument can provide. We originally recorded this episode on August 12, 2018, before the go-home show for Monday Night Raw for SummerSlam weekend. Planned matches, storylines, and angles are all subject to possible changes at the time of this recording. • The Peach Pit III: Dream Warriors - Episode 22

    07/08/2018 Duration: 47min

In this week's episode, we do what every semi-successful movie franchise does nowadays and turn "The Peach Pit" into a trilogy. Peach follows up his questioning of what a pipebomb is from last week into his first question of the episode this time around and then asks multiple questions on the presence of WWE in other countries with the start of NXT UK. We also preview what is in store for the SummerSlam preview episodes for next week with how we will be following our WrestleMania preview format with a few twists. • Women‘s rEvolution: If You Ain‘t First, You‘re Last - Episode 21

    31/07/2018 Duration: 01h26min

In this week's episode, we discuss the recent announcement by WWE that they will have the "first-ever" all-female pay-per-view known as Evolution. Although this is a historic event for the WWE, we discuss how this may not necessarily be the first all-women pay-per-view event in wrestling, who we believe deserves credit for making this happen, and who we would love to see involved in the event. We also debate whether we feel like just having all of the wrestlers be women is enough for the event and if the rumored Women's Tag Team Championships will come to fruition by this event. • To Hijack, or Not to Hijack: That Is the Question - Episode 20

    24/07/2018 Duration: 01h30min

In this week's episode, we did NOT celebrate the 20th episode quite how Respass wanted by having Walton finally cash in on his bet win by shooting Peach with paintballs. Instead, we got into a pretty heated debate concerning the main event at Extreme Rules being "taken over" or "hijacked" by the Pittsburgh crowd. Which consisted of us arguing over if we feel the hijacking was warranted, what is too far when fans take over a show, how this affects others in the audience, and what things like this do to the show's presentation. Trust us; this is a must-listen episode! Don't forget to subscribe to us for all future episodes! • Brock Lesnar: Should He Stay or Should He Go? - Episode 19

    17/07/2018 Duration: 01h07min

In this week's episode, not only is Peach back, but we discuss the confusion that surrounds the WWE status of the reigning, defending (well, sort of), undisputed Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar. We also take a deeper look into the staged confrontation between Lesnar and the UFC Heavyweight Champion, Daniel Cormier, compare Kazuchika Okada's 700+ day reign to Lesnar's current one, and wonder if Lesnar will stay with WWE while competing in the UFC. Also, we commented live on the Extreme Rules PPV as we were recording. Don't forget to subscribe to us for all future episodes! • XFL: If at First You Don‘t Succeed, Spend $500 Million - Episode 18

    10/07/2018 Duration: 01h29min

In this week's episode, a man who DOES need an introduction (because he is not on any other shows), a childhood friend of ours, Matt Ficco, had joined us! With Peach still on hiatus, we discuss the recently announced rumor of $500 million that Vince McMahon will spend on the reincarnation of the XFL. We look into our memories of the first version of the XFL, if and how they will be in direct competition with the NFL and the new league beginning in 2019, AAF, what can they do better to be successful this time around, and will they separate themselves from the WWE. • We Podcast & We Know Wrestling: Video Games Edition - Episode 17

    03/07/2018 Duration: 01h42min

In this week's episode, the co-host of "We Podcast & We Know Things," Greg Hall, had joined us! We begin things by surprising Greg with a familiar segment from his show that we got the blessing from his co-host Sam Maturo to do. We then get into our topic of discussion for the week, which due to the recent announcement of AJ Styles on the WWE2K19 cover, is wrestling video games. We name our favorite games, the first game we ever owned, our go-to wrestler of choice, and much more. Lastly, we end the show with another "We Podcast & We Know Things" staple by naming our top 3 favorite finishing moves for a CAW (Create A Wrestler). • WWE Hall of Fame: Who Deserves to Be Inducted? - Episode 16

    27/06/2018 Duration: 01h39min

In this week's episode, we take a moment to honor Leon White, a.k.a. Vader, a.k.a. Frankie Stecchino Sr., and acknowledge his wishes of being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Continuing on that theme, we decided to dig deeper into who we believe should have already been inducted or should be inducted soon. We also break the news on our replacement for Peach for the next two episodes and get a rundown of our prediction results from Money in the Bank and TakeOver Chicago II. • The Peach Pit II: The Secret of the Ooze - Episode 15

    19/06/2018 Duration: 01h11min

In this week's episode, we follow up the successful initial episode of "The Peach Pit" with part two of the series while watching WWE's Money in the Bank PPV. Peach asks us questions that include what type of gimmick matches we would like to see created, what would happen if any current championship could be contested under a 24/7 rule, and could New Japan Pro Wrestling and WWE work together. We get into the state of NXT and give our reactions to the matches at NXT TakeOver Chicago II. And we also speak about Respass' experience of talking wrestling on a bonus episode of the nerdtastic "We Podcast & We Know Things" podcast. Don't forget to subscribe to us for all future episodes! • The Money in the Bank Contract: Then. Now. Forever - Episode 14

    12/06/2018 Duration: 01h19min

In this week's episode, we decided to dive into the 12-year history of the Money in the Bank contract with the Money in the Bank pay-per-view right around the corner. We talk about some of our favorite all-time Money in the Bank cash-ins, our preferences of if we want the winner to be a face or heel, should the match be a part of WrestleMania again, and who we believe will win the men's and women's ladder matches for 2018. • Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada: Four Times the Fun - Episode 13

    05/06/2018 Duration: 01h26min

In this week's episode, we are joined by Opie0909 himself of "The Opie and Friends Show" on YouTube, Jer Culver! Our threesome becomes a foursome to discuss the highly anticipated Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada IV at Dominion 6.9 in Osaka-Jo Hall. We take a deeper look into the first three matches of this soon-to-be tetralogy (we looked this up, that's the term when there are four parts), give our honest opinions on the matches, and make our predictions on the next chapter. 29/05/2018 Duration: 01h13min

In this week's episode, we look at the cause of the drop in ratings for Monday Night Raw and attempt to figure out how to fix this. On the flip side, the unofficial Fox purchase of SmackDown Live! has made headlines, so we discuss the rumored one billion dollar deal along with the possible benefits this deal could have on other wrestling companies getting more exposure. 22/05/2018 Duration: 01h09min

In this week's episode, we find out who's in the lead after our first predictions of the new wrestling year from Backlash. Then we play a Championship Belt association game by naming some of the most iconic and fan-favorite championship belts, with some help from social media, and see who is the first wrestler that comes to our minds in association with those titles. When you hear our responses, you'll laugh, you'll cry, and you'll laugh some more (we know Respass certainly did). Don't forget to subscribe to us for all future episodes!
