As a formerly homeless teen mom and a victim of abuse, she knows firsthand what the residents at ALPHA House are faced with. Thirty years ago, Jennifer was homeless with her newborn with nowhere to turn. ALPHA was in existence at the time, however no one sent her that way. Jennifer was faced with the most difficult choice of her life ─ to place her son up for adoption. Through years of suffering, Jennifer decided to work toward her associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree and finally her master’s degree in social work.
