Casa annually enrolls 175 low-income Phoenix students in grades K-3, where 98% of students qualify for free and reduced price lunch, over 90% of students are students of color and 72% are English language learners. Leahy, a Scripps College and TFA alumna, has raised $1.1 million in grants and donations and has acquired over $720,000 in scholarships for her graduating students. CASA is part of the New Schools for Phoenix incubator program.

His plan was to become a Major League Baseball player and according to him there was simply no other option. At 27, his body would no longer support his passion for baseball, and he was at a loss.
