It is Friday but also Blue Friday so we would like to honor Park Ranger Dustin Yates. In addition Jeff welcomes Dr. Dave Brat, Stan Andrewski & Melanie Clark on this Blue Friday Edition of The Jeff Katz Show. 

On the final Friday of every month we bestow the Lt. Jan McTernan Blue Friday honor to a local law enforcement officer who has went above and beyond the call of duty to represent "The Best of the Badge". This month we honor Park Ranger Dustin Yates of the Virginia Conservation & Recreation Park Police. During the interview Dustin gives several stories including his very interesting first day on the job and what to expect if being a park ranger is something you may be interested in. Join us as we honor Ranger Dustin Yates as this months recipient of the Lt. Jan McTernan Blue Friday Honor. Thank you for your service to our community Dustin.  

In this third hour Jeff is joined by Melanie Clark and we have an edited version of Jeff's interview with Virginia Park Ranger Dustin Yates.  

Recent legislation has put benefits for widows of community service members such as police officers & firefighters at risk which is why Melanie Clark joins Jeff to help education the audience on exactly what is going on. 

During this second hour Jeff chats with Dr. Dave Brat & Stan Andrewski. 

Stan Andrewski stops by to give Jeff a preview of tomorrow's show. 

Dr. Dave Brat has been a few debates during his tenure serving the community & joins Jeff to give his thoughts on last night's debate. 

During this first hour Jeff goes over last night's debate as well as the WRVA audience's reaction online. 

Not only does Jeff have a thing or two to say about the debate but so do our listeners as Jeff highlights a few of them on the Chronic Care Text Line. 

So there was a debate last night and while I am sure you are sick of hearing about it Jeff has to at least give his 2 cents about it before moving on. 

With almost the end of the week in sight Jeff gets a visit today from Mike Cherry, Mary Rooke, Tom Leonard & Dr. Keith Ablow on this FRIDAY "EVE" edition of The Jeff Katz Show! 

The media is doing its normal "spinning" but thankfully Dr. Keith Ablow shows up and makes sure Jeff isn't too dizzy by the end of the third hour. 

Did you hear there is a debate tonight?... Jeff is wondering what the mental state will be for both candidates and checks in with Dr. Keith Ablow to get his take on it. 

The media has something to say about abortion & AIPAC so of course Jeff has a response to both.

In the second hour Jeff speaks to Mary Rooke of the Daily Caller & Tom Leonard from Tom Leonard's Farmer's Market. 

What is happening with food prices?... Tom Leonard joins Jeff and gives him some updates for holiday grilling! 

There is a debate tonight if ya hadn't heard and Mary Rooke from the Daily Caller joins Jeff to give a preview. 

During the first hour of the show Jeff previews the debate this evening and welcomes Rep. Mike Cherry to chat about an upcoming vote! 

Rep. Mike Cherry joins Jeff to talk about important legislation that will be voted on tomorrow in the VA General Assembly and gives Jeff a preview about it.
