    Carrie Neumayer co-founded the legendary Louisville indie rock band Second Story Man in 1998 and has helped front the band ever since.  She's also performed in the bands Itch House, Minnow, and Julie of the Wolves.  Her unique brand of visual art can be both darkly comedic and severely poignant, sometimes political.  As the executive director of Girls Rock Louisville, she works tirelessly to help educate and empower young girls and gender non-conforming youth through music.  She sat down with JC to talk about making a band last 20 years, finding creative solace in an increasingly distracting digital world, and how important it is for women to have a voice in the underground music community.
